Kumawood actress and makeup artist, Naana Brown and her husband, Nana Acheampong, popularly known as Santiago, have shared their love story revealing how their relationship began and blossomed.
Naana Brown, originally known from Accra, moved to Kumasi in 2009.
Santiago, a well-known disc jockey and broadcaster was working as a presenter at Solid FM and was also involved in acting at the time. The two met on a movie set six months after Naana’s relocation.
“The first day we met, we fought, I insulted her in my head. I am well known by people in Kumasi because of my radio job. I was very popular. While on the movie set, I was sitting on a chair minding my business when she approached me and said they needed the chair for makeup. I looked at her with a stern face and insulted her in my head.
“It was very annoying. But later, when she turned, I noticed her huge backside and thought that was probably why she was behaving like that. Afterward, we spoke, and that was after people recognized me and hailed me. Abena Ghana interacted with me, and while Abena touted my accomplishments, Naana Brown became interested in me.”

Naana Brown shared her perspective with a slight twist, emphasizing that she requested the seat because they needed it for makeup.
She mentioned that she did not disrespect Santiago in her request but admitted that she did not sound lively when asking for the chair.
“I was about to do makeup and the director was pressuring me. Later, after I was done with the makeup, I saw him standing there looking elegant. That was when I noticed how he looked and complimented him in my head.
“I spoke to Abena Ghana about connecting him to some advertising agencies because he has the looks, so they might engage his services. Abena Ghana spoke highly of him, so I approached him and asked for his contact. I admired him from the first day.”

Following this initial encounter, Naana Brown and Santiago remained friends for about a year before they started dating. Both were single at the time and their relationship grew stronger until they got married.

Naana Brown and her husband, Santiago, addressed damaging rumours about their relationship and family life.
According to Santiago, persons accusing his wife of infidelity are unreasonable. He refuted claims that his wife takes care of him with the money she receives from having sexual affairs with other men.
the famous radio presenter, visibly upset by the allegations, defended his wife and outlined his own accomplishments.
“I have a lot of businesses. I used to be a radio presenter and a movie maker. I produced movies, directed movies, and acted. We’ve shot many series including ‘Hostel TV Series’ and ‘True Colors’. I moved into the creams, restaurant, and food business. I am the financier.
“Those saying Capito has slept with my wife are foolish. I know where it’s coming from, and all those who know about this social media game would understand. It didn’t start from Capito. It started from Rev Owusu Bempah.”

When asked if he would consider conducting a DNA test to confirm the paternity of their children, Santiago firmly dismissed the idea.
“I won’t conduct any DNA test. I know the children are mine because they look exactly like me. The resemblance is glaring.”

Naana Brown and Santiago, who have three children and are expecting their fourth, used this platform to dispel the malicious rumours and reinforce the solidity of their marriage and family.
Naana Brown spoke about the strength of their marriage.
“What has kept us together is how we are. We are friends, we are jovial, and we don’t harbour pain. I respect him. Claims that my husband doesn’t work and that I’m sleeping around to make money are false.
“I have always hailed my husband, and people became envious of how we are, so they wished bad for us. They began to use false claims to tarnish my image with hopes of breaking us apart.”
