Ohemaa Mercy Reveals How KOKA Intervened to Rebrand Annual Concert

Ohemaa Mercy

Renowned gospel sensation, Ohemaa Mercy has disclosed how she nearly lost interest in her annual concert ‘Tehilla Experience’, a few years ago.

She stated that she almost halted the event after the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 because it was challenging to convince sponsors as companies were unwilling to support it.

The event could not be held in 2020 due to the pandemic. But it became a tough period when the team planned to host the 2021 edition, which nearly made her quit her ministry.

She recounted how entertainment critic Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA) intervened to rebrand her prestigious annual concert.

“I actually gave up, and God brought one great personality, KOKA into my life.”

This broadened her perspective of why gospel ministers need to open up and welcome the opinions of people who may not be spiritually inclined toward the word of God.

She believes such people are capable of voicing out the same message the minister of God might be expecting, urging her colleagues in the gospel fraternity to give a listening ear to all people.

“I called him and wanted to talk about my vision and what we want to rebrand the Tehillah Experience. Then I said, But I know I cannot do this one, and I’ve given up even on ministry, and he said, No, Ohemaa, your ministry is so big; you don’t see what we see out there, and he actually encouraged me.”

Other people attempted to assist but were unsuccessful, except for KOKA, who, she noted, solicited companies and secured sponsorship for the concert.

The gospel singer expressed her sincere gratitude to KOKA for the tremendous support he provided during her struggling moments to revamp the Tehillah Experience, which has impacted many lives over the years.

Also, she commended her designer, Felix, and Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty for supporting her through thick and thin.

The Tehillah Experience, which emerged in 2015, has been one of Ghana’s most recognized gospel events and has helped to strengthen the spirituality of most gospel lovers.

She stated the team is thoroughly planning to make the 2024 edition bigger and better. They are looking forward to impacting more people and creating testimonies from their lives as she celebrates twenty years in ministry with her new track ‘Dry Bones.’

Ohemaa Mercy disclosed the date for the 2024 edition of her prestigious annual concert, Tehillah Experience.

The pilgrimage, as she calls it, is set to take place at the Oil Dome of the Royalhouse Chapel International, according to her.

“Tehillah Experience is on the 8th of September, and I’m breaking the new news here for the first time,” she declared.

Before the event, the ‘Ote Me Mu’ singer assured Ghanaians of an unforgettable experience yet again, calling on everyone to mark their calendars and attend this year’s edition.

She urged individuals to keep in mind that the purpose of their attending the event is to encounter and build their covenant with God, not humans. The theme for this year is yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, the gospel singer is currently on a media tour in promotion of her new single ‘Dry Bones’ in preparation for the Tehilllah Experience in September and looks forward to releasing another track after the event.

The Tehillah Experience has been one of Ghana’s most recognized gospel events and has helped to strengthen the spirituality of most gospel lovers.

It draws gospel fans across the world, including pastors and musicians to Ghana every year to praise and worship God.

In the meantime, Ohemaa Mercy is out with a new song titled ‘Dry Bones’, featuring Kofi Owusu Peprah.
