“The time for change is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation.

“Building Ghana together means rejecting the arrogance, corruption, and greed of this nonperforming NPP administration that only seeks to extend the misrule and socio-economic hardships imposed on us by the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government”

Mahama contrasted his platform with that of the incumbent government, which he criticized for its alleged failings. The former President outlined his agenda for the country, focusing on economic revitalization and social justice.

“On 7th December, I will need your vote to RESET our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesse.”

A significant part of Mahama’s campaign is his promise to address Ghana’s economic challenges. He criticized the current administration for its handling of the economy, accusing it of fostering socio-economic hardships. Mahama’s plan for economic revitalization includes the ambitious 24-hour economy initiative aimed at creating well-paying jobs, particularly for the youth.

“This initiative is designed to keep our economy active around the clock, ensuring that employment opportunities are available at all times,” he explained. Mahama believes that this approach will not only create jobs but also enhance productivity and economic growth.

Furthermore, he proposed the establishment of a National Women’s Bank. This institution is intended to provide financial assistance to one million women-owned businesses, thereby promoting gender equality and economic empowerment.

“Women are the backbone of our economy, and their empowerment is crucial for our nation’s progress,” Mahama asserted.

Highlighting his experience and contrasting it with the current administration’s record, Mahama urged voters to choose him as the next president. He described himself as “your experienced, visionary, truthful and humble servant,” who can lead Ghana towards a brighter future.

“With your votes, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and I will restore dignity, humility, vision, and experience to the presidency.”

Mahama assured Ghanaians that his administration would bring about much-needed change and restore confidence in the government.

Addressing the nation’s issues of corruption and fiscal irresponsibility, Mahama committed to investigating and punishing corrupt officials within the current administration.

“I need your vote to investigate and punish the corrupt NPP officials who have stolen and continue to steal from the poor taxpayer.”

Mahama also promised to scrap the controversial COVID and E-levies, which have been a burden on many Ghanaians. Additionally, he pledged to abolish ex-gratia payments and significantly reduce the size of the government.

As the election approaches, Mahama’s call for change resonates with many Ghanaians who are dissatisfied with the current state of affairs. His promises of economic revitalization, job creation, and tackling corruption offer hope for a brighter future. Whether his vision will translate into electoral success remains to be seen, but his message of change is clear and compelling.
