Serene Insurance Opens New Branch

Serene Insurance Company Limited, a wholly-owned Ghanaian enterprise and a member of the First Sky Group, has launched its Western Regional branch in Takoradi.

This move is part of the company’s strategic growth and expansion efforts aimed at fostering economic development and creating job opportunities in the region.

At the branch opening ceremony, Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse, the Executive Chairman of the First Sky Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to contributing to the region’s prosperity.

Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse highlighted the importance of forming strategic alliances and partnerships to achieve the envisioned growth targets. “Serene Insurance aims to redefine public perception about insurance in Ghana through a new service culture based on integrity and honesty,” Mr. Kutortse stated.

In a similar vein, Mr. Justice Peprah, the Western Regional Manager of the National Insurance Commission (NIC), encouraged the people of the Western Region to embrace insurance as a vital tool for financial security.

Mr. Justice Peprah reassured the public that the NIC has established guidelines to ensure the industry’s integrity and urged them to report any concerns to the commission for resolution. “Life is always better with insurance coverage in the event of any incident,” Mr. Peprah noted.

Regional Minister Praises Serene Insurance’s Entry Into the Region

The Western Regional Minister, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, praised Serene Insurance’s entry into the region, recognizing it as a significant contributor to the growth of local industries.

Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah acknowledged that the company’s presence would enhance the enterprising spirit of the Western Region and improve the quality of life for its residents. “Their arrival is key to achieving quality and supporting our regional development agenda,” Mr. Darko-Mensah remarked.

Serene Insurance offers a comprehensive range of products, including general bonds, property, travel, fire, accident, aviation, marine, and engineering insurance.

This wide array of services is designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals and businesses, ensuring that they are well-protected against various risks.

Mrs. Mercy Naa Koshie Boampong, the CEO of Serene Insurance, expressed her satisfaction with the establishment of a full-fledged office in Takoradi. She underscored the necessity of having a central office to coordinate the activities of the company’s various agencies and drive its growth agenda effectively.

“Our presence in Takoradi was long overdue. We are thrilled to finally be here. Our ultimate goal is to provide total peace of mind to our clients by paying genuine claims promptly and delivering services with integrity.”

In its six years of operation, Serene Insurance has achieved significant milestones, positioning itself as a leader in the Ghanaian insurance industry. The company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has earned it accolades, including being named the fastest-growing insurance company in Ghana in 2022.
