The Deputy Director of IT and Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yayra Koku has underscored the opposition party’s readiness and preparedness to win power in the upcoming general elections.

Mr Koku, in sharp rebuttals directed at Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), posited that the NDC will defy every machinations of the ruling party to win the December 7 polls.

“Good afternoon to my “small brother” Salam Mustapha the NPP National Youth Organiser. This video was your BOLD declaration ahead of the Assin North election. I am sure you know what happened there and the results. I have noticed that you are still making a lot of noise as we approach the 2024 election”.

The opposition National Democratic Congress IT and Elections Deputy Director, while reminding the ruling party’s National Youth Organizer of the outcome of the Assin North by-election, where the NDC emerged victorious, implied that the same fate awaits the NPP in the upcoming national elections.

Mr Koku emphasized that the opposition National Democratic Congress plans to employ what he termed as the “Common Sense Approach”, a strategic framework that he believes will resonate with the electorates.

“The 2024 elections will be won using the Common Sense Approach (CSA). I know you guys talk a lot. Keep talking,” he stressed.

Drawing on military strategy, Yayra Koku quoted a portion of Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’ to underscore the National Democratic Congress’s preparedness and strategic advantage in going into the 2024 general elections.

NDC’s Superior Strategies to Outsmart NPP

Mr Koku strongly asserted that the National Democratic Congress has a comprehensive understanding of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s strategies, positioning them advantageously for the upcoming electoral contest.

With the 2024 elections merely three months away, the National Democratic Congress Director of IT and Elections, Yayra Koku projected that the Ghanaian populace is ready for change, aiming to “reset Ghana from thievery and nepotism.”

He suggested that the electorates are disillusioned with the current administration’s governance, specifically criticizing the mismanagement of the country’s economy by the ruling New Patriotic Party administration, led by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He accused the ruling party led by President Akufo-Addo of its grand agenda of acquiring the assets of the state, referencing the infamous “Agyapadeɛ document”, a document, he alleged reflects the NPP’s policies and practices that have been detrimental to the country.

However, Mr Koku argued that the NDC’s leadership remains steadfast in its belief that the party’s campaign strategies and approaches will resonate with voters, positioning the party to reclaim power from the NPP.

According to him, the National Democratic Congress’s campaign strategy appears focused on presenting itself as the antidote to what it frames as the NPP’s failures, promising a government that prioritizes transparency and equity.

Mr Koku’s pointed remarks are part of a broader narrative within the NDC, which has been rallying support by highlighting issues of corruption and nepotism under the NPP administration
