It was a matter of time, but for fans and followers it took a long time to be revealed.
Adele has publicly confirmed that she is engaged to sports agent Rich Paul during a concert in Munich, Germany. After this, the rumors that had been circulating for some time are now confirmed.
In a video that spread on social media, Adele can be seen responding to a fan’s marriage proposal saying, “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married,” while showing off an engagement ring to the fans and the crowd went crazy.
Adele and Rich Paul began their relationship in 2021, making it public that same year.
The singer, who has an 11-year-old son named Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, has kept much of her love life private. However, she has shared some anecdotes about their relationship in the past.
Adele has shared how the start of their relationship came about, remembering their first meeting at a birthday party and their first dinner out, which, according to Adele, Paul described as a business meeting.
The singer earlier said how much she is impressed by Paul’s sense of humor and intelligence, highlighting that he is “hilarious” and “very, very smart.”
This connection was strong enough for engagement rumors to become more intense when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her finger during the 2022 BRIT Awards and in August of that very same year.
She addressed these rumors, and although she did not directly confirm the engagement at the time, she did express that she was very happy and in love, stating that she simply likes high-end jewelry.
Adele is currently performing a series of ten concerts in Munich, with the first show drawing an audience of 75,000 fans.
The residency has faced some challenges, including severe weather warnings that briefly interrupted Friday’s performance.
The singer’s relationship with Paul, founder of Klutch Sports Group, became public in July 2021 when they attended an NBA game together.
Adele recently said she intends on taking an “big break” from music when her long-running residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas ends in November.
Adele Not Performing One Of Her Biggest Hits Ever Again
Adele has no plans to sing one of her earliest hits again. On August 2, the singer began her 10-night residency in Munich, Germany at the purpose-built arena Messe München, where she performed fan-favorite songs such as “Hello”, “Easy on Me”, and “Set Fire to the Rain” for 75,000 adoring fans.
There, she also brought out one of her oldest singles for a farewell.
On opening night, Adele sang “Chasing Pavements”, marking the first time she’s performed the 2008 ballad live since 2017.
In a fan video filmed at the show, the Grammy winner explained why she hasn’t included the track on concert set lists for the past seven years, and she revealed that she doesn’t intend to sing it again after the residency.
“The reason I don’t sing this song very often, and I shan’t sing it again after this Munich residency, is because the way I pronounced the words in this song when I was 19 years old, I sound like I’m 19 years old.”

At 36, she doesn’t welcome that particular blast from the past. “When I sing it now, I still sound 19 years old and it annoys me,” Adele said.
“But I’m going to do it for you because I love you, and again the Germans have always been very, very loving to me. But I’m only going to do it if you do it with me,” she added.
“Chasing Pavements” was released in January 2008 as the second single from Adele’s debut studio album, 19. The song reached No. 2 on the UK singles charts and its accompanying music video was nominated at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
It’s an important part of her past, even if it’s not part of her future.
Speaking at her Munich residency on August 2, Adele also revisited the 21 album track “Someone Like You” and got emotional, telling fans that the song “changed my life.”
“I wrote it at a time in my life when I was at the lowest I’ve ever been,” she said in a fan video. “I wish someone would’ve told me that when I was 21, that people are going to sing this song someday.”
