The NDC also extended a cordial invitation to the general public and media to attend, pointing out that seating will commence at 10:30 am, and all guests are requested to be seated by 11:00 am sharp.

Furthermore, the NDC announced that it will provide voters with timely and informative educational resources on Ghana’s electoral process, in preparation for the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Dr. Omane Boamah, Director of Elections and IT for the NDC emphasized that this election presents a crucial opportunity for Ghanaians to cast their ballots for John Dramani Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates, paving the way for a transformative “Reset Ghana for Change” agenda.

“We urge you to study our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the Exhibition of Voters Register scheduled to start from tomorrow, (20th August) to Tuesday,  27th August, 2024”.

“Let it be understood that with one day to the Exhibition exercise, the Electoral Commission has still not released the Provisional Voters Register”.

Dr. Omane Boamah

Dr. Omane Boamah condemned the EC’s latest action, saying that this egregious display of negligence, rooted in incompetence and potentially malicious intent, has opened a new chapter in the erosion of trust in the electoral process.

He called on the public to remain vigilant and engaged, as the NDC prepares to host a series of public forums and demonstrations to voice its strong objections to the EC’s recent actions and demand accountability.

The NDC stalwart emphasized the importance of verifying one’s registration details, urging all voters to take advantage of the upcoming opportunity to check their information at the Exhibition Centers, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20.

He suggested that voters who cannot physically visit the exhibition center should take advantage of the EC’s digital platform, by using the provided short code, to verify their registration details and confirm their inclusion in the electoral roll.

Dr. Omane Boamah stressed that the NDC is dedicated to introducing a comprehensive socio-economic policy, focused on accelerating Ghana’s progress towards achieving sustainable development and improving the lives of its citizens.

He stressed that this can only be achieved if citizens take ownership of their right to vote, starting by verifying their registration and holding the Electoral Commission accountable to prevent any potential electoral malpractices.
