Anyidoho Sounds Alarm On NDC’s Internal Obstacles

Anyidoho Urges EC To Ensure Credible 2024 Election

Samuel Koku Anyidoho

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, has highlighted a concerning trend among voters regarding the NDC.

According to Anyidoho, some voters who are disenchanted with the NPP are nevertheless reluctant to support the NDC because of their aversion to specific party leaders, notably Asiedu-Nketiah, the NDC’s current Chairman.

He pointed out that the NDC’s Chairman is a major obstacle to winning over floating voters, which could really impact the party’s electoral fortunes.

No Chartered Flight for President Mahama’s Japan Travel – Dep. Chief of Staff

“This man is going to end up being the worst Chairman the NDC has ever had and shall ever have.  He is making the NDC so unattractive to floating voters with his extremely despicable posturing.  I weep for my beloved NDC”.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho

Anyidoho escalated his criticism by lambasting John Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, for botching the timing of the party’s manifesto launch, and ridiculing him as a “joke”.

He asserted that it is unacceptable for a serious opposition leader, especially one with the experience of a former President, to allow the government to gain a strategic advantage by releasing their manifesto first.

Accordingly, Anyidoho pointed out that the NPP has pre-empted the NDC’s manifesto, as everything the NDC is likely to promise has already been outlined in the NPP’s own manifesto.

He criticized the NDC for its inertia, enabling the ruling NPP to dominate the political narrative and dictate the terms of the election, which is detrimental to the NDC’s chances of gaining power.

Anyidoho admonished the NDC to adopt a more proactive stance, warning that their current laid-back approach to the election is not only unencouraging but also potentially detrimental to their chances of success.

He also welcomed with enthusiasm the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s, intention to revisit and review the 1992 Constitution, a process initially initiated by former President J.E.F. Atta-Mills during the previous NDC administration.

NDC’s Manifesto To Embody Innovation And Inclusivity

Meanwhile, Joyce Mogtari Bawah, spokesperson for John Dramani Mahama, assured that the NDC’s manifesto will reflect the party’s core values of innovation and inclusivity, offering a bold and comprehensive vision for Ghana’s future.

Joyce Bawah warmly invited all Ghanaians to participate in the launch of the NDC’s People’s Manifesto, encouraging them to be active stakeholders in the party’s vision for a better Ghana.

“The NDC will be launching its manifesto for the 2024 general elections on Saturday, 24th August 2024 at the University of Education, Winneba at 12 noon. The event will be headlined by the party’s flagbearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, ably supported by the Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. Make it a point to attend or follow the program live”.

Bawah emphasized that Ghana deserves exceptional leadership, which the NDC is undoubtedly poised to provide, and encouraged Ghanaians to join the party’s winning team to be part of a brighter future.

Commenting on the recently launched NPP manifesto, she criticized the party for peddling lies, emphasizing that dishonesty is a hallmark of corruption, and therefore, anyone who knowingly spreads lies is complicit in corrupt practices.

Madam Bawah accused the NPP of pretending to be humble and relatable to win Ghanaian votes, but warned that once in power, they would revert to their arrogant and aloof ways, becoming unreachable and disconnected from the people.

As such, she fervently urged Ghanaians to vote out the NPP, a party she described as dishonest and corrupt, and instead choose a leadership that would prioritize integrity, honesty, and the well-being of the nation.

Bawah confidently assured that the NDC is steadfastly committed to driving socio-economic growth, guaranteeing that the benefits of development will be inclusively felt by every Ghanaian, regardless of their background or location.

She emphasized that the NDC is a party of action, not just rhetoric, committed to translating its vision into tangible results that improve the lives of Ghanaians.
