Polls win elections

VOTE

According to Global InfoAnalytics, a regional tracking poll conducted in the Ashanti region since August 2nd, 2024, reveals a surge in support for both John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Meanwhile, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s popularity is waning in the region, as indicated by the latest poll results compared to the previous one.

“Using all voters model, John Dramani Mahama, 26%, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, 64%, Alan Kwodwo Kyerematen, 3%, Nana Kwame Bediako, 1%, others, 1% and I will not vote, 5%. However, using the ‘committed likely’ voter’s model, John Dramani Mahama, 28%, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, 67%, Alan Kwodwo Kyerematen, 3%, Nana Kwame Bediako, 1% other, 1%”.

Global InfoAnalytics

The recent data from Global InfoAnalytics revealed a troubling trend for Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s presidential ambitions.

The regional tracking poll, conducted in the Ashanti region since August 2nd, 2024, indicates a significant loss of support among floating voters.

According to Global InfoAnalytics, this decline has resulted in a substantial 5.7% drop in his popularity compared to the previous poll.

The polling entity indicated that the erosion of support among undecided voters is a critical concern for Alan Kyerematen’s campaign.

Floating voters often hold the key to success in elections, and losing their trust can be detrimental to a candidate’s chances.

As such, the data suggested that Kyerematen’s message may not be resonating with this crucial demographic, leading to a decline in his overall support in the region.

Global InfoAnalytics indicated that a closer examination of the data reveals a fascinating trend in the Ashanti region’s voting landscape.

The data revealed that the 5.7% decline in Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s support has not been evenly distributed among his competitors.

Instead, a significant majority of 71% of these lost votes have defected to John Dramani Mahama, while 29% have gone to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This substantial transfer of support to Mahama suggests that his campaign is resonating with voters who had previously considered Kyerematen.

Mahama’s message and policies appear to be attracting those who are disenchanted with Kyerematen’s offerings according to the data collected by Global InfoAnalytics.

Despite being the NPP’s stronghold, Bawumia’s relatively modest gain is still a positive sign for his campaign, according to Global InfoAnalytics, although it falls short of expectations.

Kyerematen’s Voters Divided In Runoff

Furthermore, Global InfoAnalytics revealed an intriguing scenario in the runoff election, where voters who remained loyal to Alan Kyerematen would be split in their support.

The polling house indicated that 42% of these voters would switch their support to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, 27% remain undecided, and 31% would abstain from voting.

“The poll also shows that the economic situation has a greater influence on voters’ decisions, followed by the past performance of the parties, 50%, manifestoes, 39%, the credibility of the candidates, 36% and other reasons, 7%”.

Global InfoAnalytics

The poll from Global InfoAnalytics also revealed a concerning trend in the Ashanti region, where the majority of voters believe Ghana is headed in the wrong direction.

A significant 50% of respondents expressed their dissatisfaction with the country’s current trajectory, while 47% remain optimistic, believing Ghana is on the right path.

Global InfoAnalytics also observed that a negligible 3% of respondents remained on the fence, either undecided or without a clear opinion.

The polling entity further indicated that a striking consensus has emerged among voters in the Ashanti region, with the economy, jobs, and education dominating the discourse.

According to the polls, a staggering 71% of respondents cite the economy as a top priority, closely followed by jobs at an identical 71%.

Education trails closely, with 50% of the mentions, underscoring its significance in the national conversation.

These findings underscore the electorate’s desire for tangible improvements in their lives.

The economy and job creation are inextricably linked, and voters are eager for opportunities that foster growth and stability.

Education, as a critical foundation for future prosperity, also resonates deeply with the populace.
