Aboagye touts free speech

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, NPP Communicator

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign, has asserted that the NDC is aware it has a weak candidate.

Aboagye added that this reality is setting in for the NDC, which is coming to terms with its inevitable electoral defeat.

He noted that the NDC had been riding high on a wave of self-assurance, convinced that it would win the elections hands down, but the tide turned with Bawumia’s selection as NPP flagbearer.

Aboagye stressed that the opposition party’s confidence was punctured, giving way to anxiety and a dawning realization that the contest was now far more intense and unpredictable.

“That has since made them angry and pushing their numbers down. As the days go by and the critical issues come up, it pushes them further down into oblivion”.

“The Ghanaian voter is more discerning today than yesterday and would not vote for the waving of flags at the expense of the real issues. The Ghanaian voter won’t simply vote for you because it is 8 years already for the other person”.

Aboagye stressed that Ghanaian voters are clamoring for a transformative leader who combines unwavering dedication, unshakeable commitment, and a visionary mindset to propel the nation forward.

He added that this leader must possess the vision and expertise to catapult Ghana onto the global stage, unleashing a new era of unprecedented growth, innovation, and prosperity for the nation.

The NPP Communicator observed that this is precisely why Mr. Mahama’s efforts to deceive the nation once more are faltering, as his attempts to hoodwink the public have become increasingly transparent.

Aboagye revealed that over the next three months, the NPP will intensify its voter engagement efforts, presenting well-defined and straightforward solutions to address the pressing concerns of all Ghanaians.

He emphasized that this campaign will also highlight the compelling reasons why Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the ideal candidate to lead the country as President, showcasing his unique strengths and vision.

Bawumia ‘s ‘Integrity’ Sets Him Apart

Furthermore, Dennis Miracles Aboagye asserted that Dr. Bawumia stands out as a more trustworthy and accountable leader compared to the former President, making him the superior choice for the presidency.

He urged citizens to vote for Dr. Bawumia, confident that he possesses the leadership qualities necessary to propel Ghana forward.

However, Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, pointed out that when evaluating the achievements of the present government alongside those of the former Mahama government, it becomes clear that the Mahama administration had a superior record of performance.

“Those saying this election will be about comparing track records, are right. There is a need to compare 2008- 2016 and 2016- 2020- 2024. Remember John Mahama had no ‘peace’ for almost a year and a half, fighting off an election petition while the gains made by 2011 stood challenged partially by the petition and later by the slump in global prices for our traditional exports”.

Franklin Cudjoe

Franklin Cudjoe further observed that the Mahama government grappled with its own fiscal challenges, particularly in the form of wasteful public sector wage expenditures.

These costs were largely driven by the single-spine salary scheme, a system he described as unfair and rigged, leading to unnecessary financial strain.

As such, Cudjoe challenged the public to conduct a comprehensive comparison between the Mahama administration and the current government.

He specifically urged citizens to examine key indicators such as inflation rates, interest rates, forex exchange rates, debt accumulation, critical infrastructure development, and corruption levels.

Franklin Cudjoe asserted that by scrutinizing these metrics, the public will undoubtedly conclude that Mahama’s leadership excelled, as his record stands out as superior, demonstrating more effective management and progress in these crucial areas.
