COMMUNITY SHS DAY

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the NDC, has pledged that a future administration led by John Mahama will prioritize the completion of all abandoned Community Day Senior High Schools.

According to Eric Adjei, Spokesperson for the NDC running mate, this commitment underscores the NDC’s dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure and ensuring that students have access to quality secondary education across the country.

Eric Adjei emphasized that addressing the unfinished projects would not only provide more students with access to secondary education but also create job opportunities and foster community development.

Eric Adjei highlighted that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, during her tenure as Education Minister under the Mahama administration, was a strong advocate for the Community Day Senior High School project.

He emphasized the importance of this initiative as a means to bring education closer to the people, particularly in deprived communities where access to quality educational facilities has historically been limited.

According to Eric Adjei Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s leadership in this project aimed to address educational disparities and provide students from underserved areas with better opportunities for academic achievement.

He indicated that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s vision was to create accessible learning environments that would empower young people and foster community development.

The NDC stalwart stated that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang recognized that by establishing these schools, the government could significantly impact the lives of many students, helping to break the cycle of poverty and enhance overall community well-being.

In advocating for the completion of the abandoned schools, she is reiterating her commitment to educational equity and signaling that the NDC’s next administration would prioritize infrastructure improvements that directly benefit marginalized populations.

Adjei noted that this pledge not only reflects the NDC running mate’s dedication to education but also aims to inspire confidence among voters in the NDC’s capacity to fulfill its promises and uplift communities across the nation.

She stated that this neglect has denied students in those communities vital educational opportunities, hindering their access to quality learning environments.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that these abandoned projects represent a significant setback for local students, who are now unable to benefit from the educational resources they desperately need to succeed.

According to her spokesperson, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang asserted that elections carry significant consequences, underscoring the importance of choosing wisely.

“She, therefore, urged the electorates to vote massively for Mr. Mahama and the NDC parliamentary candidate for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, in the upcoming December 7 general elections to bring development to the area”.

Adjei further stated that the NDC Vice-Presidential candidate emphasized that it is crucial for Ghanaians to elect Mr. John Dramani Mahama as the next leader, as he genuinely cares about the well-being of the country and its citizens.

According to him, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang believes that under Mahama’s leadership, the nation can expect a government committed to addressing the pressing needs of the people and fostering a brighter future for all Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, the NDC reiterated its commitment to advancing education, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the quality of education through robust infrastructure development and improved teaching and learning methods.

The party stressed that a well-rounded educational system, backed by modern facilities and innovative instructional approaches, is key to unlocking the full potential of students and ensuring long-term national development.
