“First of all, my contract ended,” she explained, adding she had been with the record label “for almost 7 years”. “A lot of things happened,” she added, including “some business misunderstandings”.

Calling it “a rollercoaster,” she said it was expected when one deals with a company as a family. Going independent, “Right now I’m doing everything by myself,” the ‘Shuga hitmaker’ revealed.

She indicated, that ‘All Over’, her new song with Camidoh, marked the beginning of the new journey.

The Afrobeats singer said she wanted to keep things coded [secret], noting “I’m sure we’re solving [the issue]”.

However, Sefa revealed though she was an understanding and loyal person, there was a time when she felt hurt.

“There was a time when I felt like maybe, I’ve been hurt or been betrayed to a point where I asked, ‘What’s the purpose?’ Instead of me being there and having some sort of hatred towards people that I love as a family, I prefer to take a step [on my own] and keep it going.”

As an independent act, “At the moment, I’m focusing on myself and my journey,” she added.

While she indicated she had no issues collaborating with BAM for business, she gave the impression she was not returning to the company as a signee, moving forward.

Furthermore, the award-winning artist clarified she was still driving the car she was given at BAM “because I paid for it”.

Depending on the deal and what it entails, Sefa noted she was very open to offers from record labels. “Aside from the passion I have for the music, I’m very hardworking, I’m dedicated, very self-motivated,” she underlined.

She stated that she was not a greenhorn, having gained a lot of experience from working with BAM because they put her in a position where she was doing a lot of things by herself.

The ‘E Choke’ hitmaker, also, pointed to her songs out there that are doing amazing.

Sefa Argues After ‘Scary’ Sexual Harassment in Kasoa

Sefa recalled being sexually harassed after a performance in Kasoa.

She revealed the perpetrators were a mix of females and men.

The music star noted that “I felt hands all over me; my private parts, my breasts, and everything.”

Before this “frustrating” encounter, she said she had only been harassed verbally [and] from a distance.

However, when it turned physical in Kasoa, she said, “I was so scared at that point in time.”

“Personally, I felt like everybody wanted to get in my space, you know, and when you get into somebody’s space, maybe you haven’t seen the person for some time, you want to touch the person…”

That said, however, the award-winning singer insisted, that members of the public, including her fans, have to recognize that there are boundaries.

Waving off her bouncers to allow for admirers to share her space with her, she emphasized, “does not mean that when we give you the opportunity, you take advantage of [or abuse] it”.

The ‘Fever’ hitmaker remembered she was once “insulted” for agreeing to Shatta Wale having bouncers to protect his private space.

Looking into the camera for emphasis, she asked her audience to take her unpleasant encounter as a vivid illustration of the need for bouncers.
