Nigel Gaisie Claims He Fasted To Secure Mahama’s Victory

Prophet Nigel Gaisie

Founder of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has claimed that his dedication to prayer and fasting played a pivotal role in President John Mahama’s return to power and the historic election of Ghana’s first female Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

In a Facebook post celebrating the fulfillment of his long-standing prophecy, Prophet Gaisie revealed that he embarked on a year-long fast to ensure spiritual victory for the Mahama-led NDC.

“I fasted for an entire year. I committed my life, energy, and prayers to ensure the will of God, which is Mahama’s victory, would manifest.”

He recalled the mockery he faced when he first made the prophecy, adding that its manifestation proves he is a true prophet of God.

“We were the first to see it. We were the first to invest in it. We took all the bullets. We stood firm despite all the ridicule, the mockery, and the doubts from every corner. And today, the evidence is right before our eyes. The prophecy I declared nearly eight and half years ago has come to pass, and no one can deny it.

“By God’s mercies, I, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, was the first to see it. I boldly spoke of it, even when others laughed. I declared that Ghana would have a female vice president, and I said it would be with John Mahama.”

He explained that he took the bold step to intercede on behalf of the President, indicating that anything apart from victory would have meant the word of God would not have been fulfilled.

“In 2024, I think it was a year that I was sitting on tenterhooks. For the past eight and half years, God had spoken through us, and we trusted God that what he had said would come to pass.

“If my prophecy had not come to pass, I would have had a problem, the church would have a problem, and it would have affected the prophetic word. And so, the year 2024 was not easy. It was a fasting year. I fasted from November 2023 to December 2024. I fasted for one year.”

Prophet Nigel Gaisie

Nigel Gaisie explained that his decision to remain resolute in his stance that Mahama would emerge victorious in the election was mainly because he foresaw it.

Prophet Gaisie congratulated President Mahama and Vice President Opoku-Agyemang and urged Ghanaians to trust in divine guidance for the nation’s future.

He also encouraged believers to recognize the spiritual battles behind political victories and called for prayers for the new government to transform the country.

Ghanaians reacted to the video and shared their opinions on the comments made by Prophet Nigel Gaisie about John Mahama’s presidential victory.

Prophet Laments Emotional Toll After Mahama’s Prophesy

Prophet Nigel Gaisie laid bare the emotional and professional toll he endured after prophesying that John Mahama would return as President of Ghana.

The founder of the Prophetic Hill Chapel shared his harrowing experiences.

“The NPP shattered lives and crushed spirits,” Gaisie began passionately, his voice tinged with emotion.

“We are human beings with families, wives, and friends. We aren’t perfect, but when someone makes a mistake, they should face the law—not be vilified or have their work destroyed.”

Prophet Nigel Gaisie

Recalling the backlash he faced, the prophet revealed how his prophecy became the center of controversy, leading to multiple arrests and verbal abuse. “Everything I had is ruined—all because I prophesied that Mahama would be president again, as revealed to me by God,” he lamented.

Gaisie further detailed the trauma he suffered at the hands of law enforcement, singling out an officer by name. “I pray Superintendent Asare seeks forgiveness for the verbal abuse I endured during my multiple arrests,” he stated, visibly distressed.

The prophet called for reflection on the treatment of individuals in political and religious spaces.

“Never should such people hold positions in Ghana’s political offices again,” he declared, urging Ghanaians to uphold fairness and accountability, regardless of one’s political or religious stance.

Gaisie’s story has since sparked heated conversations on social media, with many questioning the line between free speech and accountability in Ghana’s charged political climate.
