Katy Perry Shares How She, Fiancé Support Each Other

Katy Perry and fiancé, Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry may be gearing up for her first concert tour in seven years, The Lifetimes Tour, but the pop icon has been quick to share her gratitude for the unwavering support of her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

Despite their bustling schedules, the couple continues to prioritize their relationship, and they’ve mastered the art of showing up for one another. “We really understand and support each other,” Katy shared.

“I’m preparing to go on this world tour, and he understands that. [It’s] just like when you’re prepping to do a movie, and some of the movies he’s done are even more physically intense, mentally intense than any of these tours.”

For Katy, 40, who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor, their partnership goes beyond mutual understanding and it keeps her grounded.

“It’s great to have a family to come home to and a whole identity outside of being ‘Katy Perry’ and music. I’m really proud of what I created and the time that I have had off because it’s super grounding for me.”

That balance extends into their daily lives, with Katy emphasizing the importance of learning each other’s love languages to ease the pressures of life. “Understanding what your partner’s love languages are breeds connectedness,” she explained.

“My love language, or one of them, is acts of service because I’m actually super caretaking. I like to look after people, and I like to make sure everyone’s having a great time. I find joy in other people’s joy.”

While Katy will be crisscrossing the globe when her tour kicks off in Houston, Texas, on May 7, she’s confident her family will be by her side for parts of the adventure.

“He’s a busy, busy guy,” Katy said of Orlando, “but I’m sure they’re both going to come out for different sections.”

As their relationship continues to flourish, Katy and Orlando’s love story is nothing short of a teenage dream come to life.

From shared passions to unwavering support, the duo proves that even in the spotlight, unconditional love can light the way.

Katy Perry announced that she’ll bring her Lifetimes Tour to the United States this spring and summer, marking her first time hitting the road in more than seven years.

“We’re giving BPM. We’re giving celebration. We’re giving unity. We’re giving dance. It will be like Disneyland on Wheels, as it always is. A feast for the eyes and the ears.”

Katy Perry

Perry teased that she’ll play her “whole life” of hits thus far while sprinkling in songs from last year’s ‘143’ and 2020’s ‘Smile’, which didn’t get a tour after she welcomed her daughter Daisy that year.

Perry promises to include a segment of the tour to allow her fans to select seldom-played tracks for her to perform. “I also have a responsibility to myself to stay true to my art,” Perry added.

“And so, I’ll be introducing some new songs. And there will be a section that we have created for some songs that are the deepest cuts that have never seen the light of day.”

Katy Perry

Tickets for the U.S. dates will go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m. local time, although fans can start accessing presale tickets on January 28 and 29.

Perry will kick off the Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City in late April, before embarking on a cluster of U.S. stops in May.

She’ll then head to Australia in June, before returning to North America for shows in Canada and across the United States through late August. She’ll conclude the Lifetimes run by visiting South America and Europe.
