Cina Soul Reveals Her Ideal Partner

Cina Soul

Ghanaian musician, Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome, better known by the stage name Cina Soul, has made it clear that she is currently not open to a relationship, stating that she is fully focused on building her music career.

The singer dismissed ongoing relationship rumors, emphasizing that love is not a priority for her at the moment.

“I’m too busy for love,” she stated, adding that her primary focus is on establishing herself in the music industry.

When asked about the kind of partner she would consider in the future, Cina Soul revealed that she prefers to date or marry someone outside the entertainment industry.

She explained that while dating a fellow artist may work for some, she would rather have a partner from a different career field to bring variety into their relationship.

“I feel like artiste to artiste is someway. I want us to come back home and talk about things like, how was the hospital? Oh, how was court? How was the bank? Not every day okay, the studio, we’ll all talk about the same thing. So, I just want something different.”

Cina Soul

She also dismissed the notion that dating someone like a doctor or banker would be boring, arguing that learning about different professions could be exciting.

“I don’t think it will be boring. You’ll have so many stories. I think he’ll be like, this person did this, and then I saved a life… I feel it will be very interesting.”

For now, however, the singer remains focused on her career. Cina Soul recently released her debut album, ‘Did I Lie’, featuring tracks like ‘Larger Than Life’ with Stonebwoy and ‘Too Bad’.

After years of making music, Cina Soul finally released her debut album, a project she describes as her biggest achievement yet.

She admitted that the process was exhausting.

“I’ve always wanted to drop an album, but I felt I wasn’t ready. It’s a full body of work, and I needed time to create it. I don’t know how people create albums every year. It took me almost two and a half years to make this one.

“Recording so many songs and shortlisting them to 10 or 12 was tough. Everyone had opinions—my team, marketing experts—but I had to follow my heart.”

Cina Soul

Cina Soul also revealed the challenges of collaborating with songwriters.

“I’ve always written my own songs, but this time, I allowed myself to work with songwriters. It was uncomfortable at first, but even the greatest artists have songwriters. It doesn’t make me any less of an artist.”

When asked about the album’s title, she explained, “I called it ‘Did I Lie?’ because I didn’t lie about my talent, my songwriting, my vocal ability, or my versatility. This album proves all of that.”

She remains optimistic about the album’s success. According to her, the reception has been great so far, adding that the pressure is real. “With a single, you have one marketing plan, but with an album, you have to push every song while balancing the lead single. We haven’t slept in weeks!” she said.

The Ghanaian singer also opened up about her journey in the music industry, sharing how far she has come despite the challenges.

She recalled her struggles in the early days of her career.

“I’m still not where I want to be, but I won’t say I’m at the same place. I appreciate the journey so far. I was even looking at my old music video and remembered how it was hard to find models. It was my friends and cousins in the video because I couldn’t afford to hire anyone.”

Cina Soul further admitted that funding remains a major challenge, especially for independent artists. “Every artist needs money at every stage—for promo, creation, everything. And as the years go by, it gets worse,” she said.

Despite the struggles, she remains hopeful and also advised young artists to keep pushing.

“I believe in God’s timing. I was signed to Universal a few years ago, and I know another deal or investor will come my way. I just have to keep working hard.

“Even if you get only two plays or two listeners, just keep going. It won’t always be the same for the rest of your life.”
