Eklips Investment Partners with Minister to Advance Sustainability

The leadership team of Eklips Investment Ghana Ltd, led by its Founder and CEO, Abdul Razak Yakubu, has met with Hon. Issifu Seidu, Ghana’s Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability, to discuss potential collaborations in sustainability and climate resilience.  

The meeting, which took place in Accra, aimed to strengthen partnerships between the private sector and government in tackling climate change challenges. 

Hon. Issifu Seidu, who was appointed as Ghana’s first-ever Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability earlier this year, expressed gratitude for the donation and acknowledged the critical role of private-sector involvement in advancing climate resilience strategies.

The Minister further emphasized the need for localized climate solutions, noting that Ghana’s vulnerable communities are already experiencing the severe impacts of climate change, including floods, droughts, and rising sea levels 

He assured the delegation that his office remains open to collaboration with institutions and companies that share the vision of driving sustainable development in Ghana. 

The meeting marks the beginning of what promises to be a fruitful partnership between Eklips Investment Ghana Ltd and the Office of the Minister. Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations, particularly in areas such as climate finance, renewable energy, and environmental education.

Hon. Issifu Seidu has outlined plans to establish a Climate Change and Sustainability Hub, which will serve as a think tank for advocacy, research, and policy development.  

The hub aims to generate evidence-based interventions and implement projects that address Ghana’s climate challenges.

Accompanying Abdul Razak Yakubu were Nadia Owusu, Business Development and Communications Lead, and Sivietar Annang, Head of International Cooperation & Partnerships. 

The delegation engaged in productive discussions with the Minister, focusing on climate change policy, sustainability initiatives, and innovative solutions to enhance Ghana’s environmental resilience. 

During the meeting, the Eklips Investment Ghana Ltd team emphasized their commitment to supporting climate research and development.  

As part of this commitment, they presented a donation of three high-performance laptops to the Minister’s office, aimed at bolstering research efforts in climate policy and sustainability

Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations, particularly in areas such as climate finance, renewable energy, and environmental education.

The private sector’s involvement in climate initiatives will not only enhance research and policy development but also contribute to economic growth and sustainable development.
