Dua Lipa Confirms Engagement to Callum Turner

Dua Lipa has confirmed that she’s engaged to British actor Callum Turner.

She also opened up about their relationship and the life they’re looking forward to building together.

“Yes, we’re engaged. It’s a really exciting time. I’m absolutely in love with it — it’s so perfectly ‘me.’ It feels good to know that the person you’ll spend your life with truly understands you.”

Dua Lipa

The couple sparked engagement rumours last Christmas when she posted pictures of herself wearing a ring. She revealed that Turner had the ring made for her after consulting with her best friends and sister.

Dua Lipa also spoke about her engagement, revealing how the reality of it is only now beginning to sink in. “I never really understood the weight of getting engaged until now,” she admitted, as she reflected on this new phase of her life.

While no wedding bells are ringing just yet, Dua shared that she and her fiancé, Callum, are simply enjoying this special time together. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting… so we’re just enjoying this period,” she said, adding that they’re not rushing into planning anything just yet.

The ‘Levitating’ hitmaker also confessed that she never imagined herself as someone who would dream about weddings.

“I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

Talking about the deeper meaning of their relationship, Dua said, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”

She also opened up about her thoughts on motherhood, revealing that having children is something she definitely wants in the future. “I’d love to have kids one day,” she said.

However, she also acknowledged the challenges of balancing parenthood with her demanding career.

“It’s the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job, and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take.”

Dua Lipa graced the cover of British Vogue for the fourth time in an outfit that is certainly deserving of a round of applause.

The Albanian singer-songwriter took to her Instagram account to celebrate this monumental achievement, as well as gave her 87.7 million followers a couple of behind the scenes photos showing how she and British Vogue made their vision come to life.

Lipa’s latest cover sees her wearing a light pink bullet bra from Miu Miu, a piece that is paired with a unique star-shaped hat. For this look, she wears her jet black hair down the length of her back with blunt, short bangs.

Everything comes together to create a vintage vibe that is a perfect nod to the past while still feeling modern. When she wasn’t busy taking show-stopping photos, Lipa sat down with British Vogue to chat about what has her feeling “invincible” as of late.

Refreshingly, one of the things that made her feel on top of the world was getting older, as she is ready to enter her thirties feeling “empowered” and “proud.”

“I turn 30 in August, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot because your 20s are just so tumultuous in the way you think about yourself and your body. And I don’t know, now I feel like I’ve come to a place—I’ve become better at taking care of myself and working out and dancing. I feel the most confident I’ve ever felt.

“I feel very empowered and strong in my body. I feel good when I’m sharing my energy with people on stage. There’s just so much of that that makes me really proud of my body and the way it holds me.”
