Angel Asiamah, the husband of Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, has shared a simple yet profound message with his wife, Agradaa, who has been jailed for 15 years with hard labour.
The founder of Heaven Way Champion International Church, Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, was sentenced on Thursday, July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit court.
Agradaa was convicted after being found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretenses.
In a TikTok video, her husband, Angel Asiamah encouraged his wife to stay resolute. A heart emoji was attached to convey his love for his wife, possibly. “Be strong. Noko love. Mr and Mrs Asiama,” he wrote.
Agradaa, a former traditional priestess turned Christian evangelist, was found guilty of defrauding several victims through a 2022 televised broadcast, during which she falsely claimed to possess spiritual powers capable of doubling money.
Mama Pat’s promises of doubling money attracted many people to bring huge sums of money to her, with the hope of earning more financial returns that were never delivered.
Some netizens reacted to Angel Asiamah’s TikTok post. Some consoled him while others asked for updates on Agradaa’s case.

Vim Lady Hints Agradaa Sentence Reversible

Famous Ghanaian broadcaster, Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, reacted to the 15-year jail sentence handed to Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, also known as Agradaa.
During a TikTok Live session, Vim Lady indicated that there is a chance for Agradaa to be released from prison, and highlighted the conditions.
She claimed Mama Pat’s case could be appealed at a higher court, with victory becoming hers if her lawyers could argue the case in her favour.
“There are so many cases that have gone to court that have been overturned. So the fact that she has been conviced by the court doesn’t mean her case conno be overturned. If her lawyers agree that Agradaa is guilty but the sentence is too harsh, then they can appeal on the sentence. But they can also appeal on both that they think she is not guilty and that the judge pronounced her guilty wrongly.”

Speaking on the televangelist’s trial and sentencing, Vim Lady emphasized that all hope was not lost.
“It can be overturned. It wouldn’t be surprising if, after a few months, a judgment is given by a high court indicating that the circuit court gave a wrong judgment on the law, and they are discharging Agradaa based on the new judgement.”

She further referenced the story of Atta’s mechanic,’ who was recently released from custody after spending twenty years in jail.
