Ghanaian Afro-dancehall artist Stonebwoy has broken his silence on the Economic and Organised Crime Office’s (EOCO) seizure of colleague musician Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini Urus, suggesting the incident was an inevitable outcome.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ‘Therapy’ hitmaker noted that the entertainment industry is rife with image-building and hype, where not everything presented to the public reflects reality.
“When you follow the news properly, you understand before the truth comes out. From where I stand, I made some revelations already before things started unfolding. I’m a fan of music and musicians too, but fortunately, I’m also an insider.”

The Dancehall artist hinted that some artists engage in what he called “settings,” presenting a lifestyle that is not entirely genuine.
“When they say a man is a ‘settings man,’ it means he loves to set up things – like packaging – but it’s not the real situation. We know the industry. It’s not everybody who can really have it or afford it, but believe you me, many people want to flash it.”

The BET Award winner was cautious not to make direct accusations but suggested that certain patterns and backgrounds in such situations were telling.
“If some of the things I know were known by other people, they wouldn’t sleep. They wouldn’t shut up because it could be used as a weapon to destroy people. But me, I don’t cross people – I do my own thing and let others do theirs.”

The musician noted that he was solely focused on his musical career and expected his rival to do the same. He said he was not interested in getting entangled in unnecessary drama with other artists.

The BHIM Nation boss also dismissed talks of him still engaging in a feud with Shatta Wale, stating that no one could start a beef with him.
Stonebwoy claimed that his colleague artist was beefing with himself and boldly stated that they were not at the same level.
He noted that he was not afraid of engaging in a beef with his rival and highlighted some of the victories he scored over the SM boss in their past lyrical battles.
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), working in collaboration with the FBI, confiscated the luxury vehicle on 5 August.
In an official statement, EOCO confirmed that the seizure was carried out at the request of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Department of Justice.
Netizens reacted to Stonebwoy’s remarks about Shatta Wale.
Rashad commented: “If you like, go to the moon and come back. You can never compare yourself to Wale.”

Okatakyie Afrifa Reacts to Shatta Wale’s EOCO Saga
Okatakyie Afrifa and Shatta Wale
Ghanaian media personality behind the current affairs programme, Okatakyie Afrifa, has shared his thoughts on Shatta Wale’s issues with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
During a recent episode of the show, Okatakyie Afrifa expressed his disappointment in the way EOCO allegedly broke into Shatta Wale’s home to seize his 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
Despite EOCO’s clarifications, Okatakyie Afrifa maintains that the raid was part of the current government’s efforts to suppress Shatta Wale’s brand.
“They used his following to increase their votes. After, they used EOCO to intimidate him into silence,” Okatakyie Afrifa asserted. He established that the On God hitmaker was planning on suing EOCO for their unlawful raid.
Okatakayie Afrifa’s message to Shatta Wale stirred reactions from netizens.
“Shatta is not above the law, that when he commits a crime, they won’t hold him responsible, he’s not like your government, which lets his ministers steal the country, and he didn’t say anything. I respect you a lot, but your sense is very low.”
