Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has announced his interest in acquiring African music catalogues.

The emPawa Music founder disclosed his plans in a post on X, inviting rights holders with proof of ownership to reach out if they wish to sell part of their catalogue.

“Btw I’m buying catalogues so if you got an African music catalogue that you own ( with proof ) and you have a 3-year earnings history and you wanna sell a piece contact @emPawaAfrica.”

Mr Eazi

His move comes at a time when several Ghanaian artists have made headlines for selling their catalogues to foreign companies, sparking conversations about ownership and long-term value.

Netizens have since reacted to his post, with some tagging Ghanaian artists they believe could be interested.

The Nigerian music star, whose real name is Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, reflected on one of the priceless moments in his life amid his wedding buzz.

It was earlier reported that the singer and billionaire heiress Temi Otedola announced their engagement in April 2022 and tied the knot this year in a series of celebrations held across three countries.

As the ‘Casanova’ hitmaker celebrated moments from his lavish wedding, he recalled the emotional final words his mother shared with him before passing.

According to Mr Eazi, his mum, on her deathbed, confessed that in another life, she would still want to marry his father.

The musician further noted that that was his blueprint for love.

“One of my mum’s final words to me was: ‘If there was another life and I came back again, I would still marry him.’ – Ifeoma Ajibade (February 2025). A father’s example. A mother’s final words. My blueprint for love. 🕊️. Proverbs 22:6 ✍🏿.”

Dangote Predicts Mr Eazi Will Become World’s Richest Man

Dangote Predicts Mr Eazi Will Become World’s Richest Man

The romantic relationship between singer Oluwatosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade and Temi Otedola, daughter of oil mogul and billionaire Femi Otedola, is one that really amazed and bewildered many elites in the high society.

Their bewilderment stemmed from the upper-crust people’s intolerance of people whom they deem beneath them. Some actually asked the question why a billionaire like Femi Otedola would allow his daughter to marry a mere musician, knowing fully well how unruly and unscripted the life of a musician can be.

The very answer to that question may have been provided by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, who delivered a speech at the couple’s white wedding in Iceland recently.

Dangote described Mr Eazi as an entrepreneur and a part-time musician. He also gave a hint that Otedola may have been rather wise to give the hands of his daughter to the “Leg Over” crooner.

Further buttressing Dangote’s assertion that the union may be founded on business outlook rather than fantasy is the import of the message of the gift the father of the bride presented to the couple.

At the couple’s white wedding in Iceland, he offered marriage advice and presented the newlyweds with a copy of his recently published book, Making It Big, a symbolic gift that doubled as counsel and a keepsake for the couple’s new chapter and mission of becoming “The richest couple on earth”.
