The Aboadze–Tarkwa transmission line is a crucial component of Ghana’s electricity grid which is responsible for transmitting power from the Aboadze power generation hub to the Western and Ashanti Regions of the country. The damage to this line underscores the importance of maintaining a robust and resilient electricity infrastructure to ensure a reliable power supply across the country.

Disruptions to the transmission network can have far-reaching consequences, affecting businesses, industries, and the daily lives of residents in these affected areas.

The prompt response and repair efforts by the Ministry of Energy and GRIDCo aimed at minimizing the impact on the communities served by this damaged critical transmission line and see to it that power is restored within the shortest possible time.

The commitment to restore power aligns with the broader goals of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, which are focused on enhancing the country’s energy security and sustainability.

Stakeholder Engagement

GRIDCo line Disrupted

The successful repair and restoration of the Aboadze–Tarkwa transmission line will require close collaboration between the Ministry of Energy, GRIDCo, and other relevant stakeholders.

This coordination, will ensure that the repair work is carried out swiftly and efficiently to see to it that the affected communities receive timely updates and support during the disruption.

By engaging with the public and maintaining transparent communication, the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition can garner a sense of trust and understanding among the communities impacted by the transmission line incident.

This approach can also help identify any potential challenges or concerns that may arise during the repair process, allowing for a more comprehensive and responsive solution.

As the repair work progresses, the Ministry of Energy and GRIDCo assured that they will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates to the public.
