Excitement as MoMo Delivers on Its Promise — Over 2,000 Ghanaians Win Big in Ongoing Promo

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as MobileMoney Limited (MoMo) rewarded more than 2,000 customers in the first monthly draw of its ongoing “Me Nsa Aka” promotion.

With over GHS 50,000 shared among winners, the initiative has quickly become one of the most engaging promotional campaigns in Ghana’s digital finance sector this year.

The highlight of the first monthly draw was the presentation of prizes to top winners during a ceremony held in Accra. Mr. Hillary Kwaku Angua Mante from Accra emerged as the overall winner for the month, walking away with a handsome GHS 5,000 in e-cash. He was closely followed by Charles Benjamin McCarthy and Joseph King Martey, both also from Accra, who received GHS 3,000 each.

The draw, which was supervised by officials from the National Lottery Authority (NLA), ensured transparency and credibility in the selection process. These winners were among thousands of customers who participated in the “Me Nsa Aka” promotion by performing daily transactions through the MoMo App.

MoMo’s Commitment to Customer Satisfaction

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Senior Manager for Channel Distribution of MobileMoney LTD, Mr. Abdul Majeed Rufai, expressed his delight at the positive feedback the company has received since launching the promotion. He emphasized that the MoMo App was designed to make financial transactions easier, faster, and more rewarding for customers.

“The MoMo app offers customers value propositions that enhance your experience in undertaking various financial transactions. This promotion offers customers the unique opportunity to qualify and win the prizes as they undertake various transactions including bank services, payments, insurance, savings and many more.”

Mr. Rufai added that the promotion aligns with MoMo’s broader strategy of driving digital inclusion and strengthening the fintech ecosystem in Ghana.

“We are committed to our Platform Business agenda which is to create opportunities for our partners to grow. Our observation since the start of the promotion is that transactions to our partners have significantly increased over the period thus strengthening the partnership with ecosystem players in the fintech industry and we are very excited about that.”

Customer Excitement and Gratitude

The top winner, Mr. Hillary Kwaku Angua Mante, could not hide his excitement after receiving his GHS 5,000 prize. He commended MobileMoney LTD for keeping its word and creating opportunities for users to benefit from their regular transactions. “I am very grateful to MoMo for delivering on its promise. I encourage everyone to download the  MoMo App and experience its unique features and convenience,” he said.

Many other winners also shared their joy, expressing how the extra cash rewards came at a crucial time when the cost of living continues to rise. The “Me Nsa Aka” promo, they said, has made everyday transactions more exciting and rewarding.

The “Me Nsa Aka” promotion, which kicked off in September 2025, is structured to offer daily, weekly, and monthly rewards to customers who use the MoMo App for their transactions. Since its inception, more than 2,000 customers have already benefited from cash prizes, Y’ello Biz routers, and other gifts.

There is, however, much more to look forward to. With over GHS 1.5 million worth of prizes still up for grabs, customers stand the chance of winning daily rewards of GHS 100 or GHS 200, weekly prizes ranging from GHS 500 to GHS 2,000, and monthly rewards of GHS 5,000 and GHS 3,000 for top performers.

The campaign’s grand prize is a life-changing GHS 100,000, which will be awarded to the customer with the highest transaction volume during the promotion period, which ends on December 15, 2025.

To qualify, customers simply need to perform transactions of above GHS 100 using the MoMo App, available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

MobileMoney LTD also used the occasion to remind customers to stay alert and protect themselves from fraudsters who may attempt to take advantage of the promotion. The company reiterated that MoMo customers should never disclose their MoMo PIN or OTP to anyone, nor allow others to make transactions on their behalf.

Customers were also urged to be cautious of suspicious calls or messages from unverified numbers. The company emphasized that genuine promo winners will only be contacted through the official MTN/MML line (0244300000).

Any suspicious activities or potential scams can be reported via email at mmfraudteam@mtn.com or by calling 100.

Driving Digital Growth Through Rewards

The success of the “Me Nsa Aka” promotion underscores MobileMoney LTD’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion and rewarding customer loyalty. By combining innovation, security, and convenience, MoMo continues to lead the charge in transforming how Ghanaians engage in digital transactions.

The company’s ongoing investment in customer experience and technology is also helping strengthen Ghana’s position as one of Africa’s most dynamic fintech markets.

As excitement builds for the next monthly draw, thousands of customers across the country are expected to continue using the MoMo App in hopes of being the next lucky winner.
