Their recognition underscored the critical role rural banks play in promoting financial inclusion and supporting Ghana’s grassroots economy.

This year’s GAFA ceremony shone a spotlight on rural banks and microfinance institutions driving access to finance in underserved communities. Amenfiman Rural Bank Plc emerged as Rural Bank of the Year, reflecting its success in extending financial services to small businesses and rural households.

The insurance industry also saw impressive performances. StarLife Assurance Ltd won Innovative Life Insurance Company of the Year, applauded for introducing customer-focused life insurance products tailored to evolving market needs. Glico Health Insurance Ltd was crowned Best Health Insurance Company of the Year, reaffirming its leadership in providing reliable healthcare coverage.

GAFA 2025 also acknowledged the finance professionals who drive efficiency and accountability behind the scenes. The Bank Hospital, B5 Plus Limited, and Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City each won Finance Team of the Year awards in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Hospitality categories respectively. Ramoth Services Limited received the honour in the Mining Support category, demonstrating financial management excellence across diverse sectors.

In recognition of capacity-building efforts, Rakes Company Limited was awarded Learning and Development Company of the Year for its dedication to advancing professional training and leadership within Ghana’s financial industry.
