The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will release the full fixture list for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League on Thursday, July 23, giving clubs and supporters their first complete look at the upcoming campaign.
The fixtures are scheduled to be unveiled at 14:00 GMT (2:00 pm local time), with the full schedule to be published on the GFA’s official website and across its social media platforms.
The release will outline all 306 matches to be played during the season, providing the 18 participating clubs with a comprehensive roadmap for the campaign. Each club will play 34 league matches, facing every other team both home and away in the traditional round-robin format.
The fixture announcement is one of the most anticipated moments of the domestic football calendar as clubs begin finalising their pre-season preparations.
Defending champions Medeama SC will learn their opening opponents in their bid to retain the coveted trophy while the 17 remaining clubs will assess their fixtures to find out the potential of dethroning the Yellow and Mauves.
It allows teams to plan travel arrangements, training schedules, player logistics and operational budgets well in advance of the opening weekend.
Supporters will also be keen to discover the opening-day fixtures, key regional derbies, festive period encounters and decisive closing-round matches that could shape the title race, qualification for continental competitions and the battle against relegation.
The publication of the schedule follows the GFA’s confirmation earlier this week of the official dates for the new league season. On Monday, July 20, the Football Association announced that the 2026/27 campaign will commence on the weekend of September 4 to 7, 2026, and conclude on the weekend of May 28 to 31, 2027, providing clubs with a clear timeline for the season ahead.

With the calendar now established, Thursday’s fixture release represents another major moment in preparations for the new campaign. Clubs will immediately begin assessing the demands of their schedules, including stretches of consecutive away fixtures, challenging runs against title contenders and periods that may require squad rotation.
