Ghanaian Afrobeats sensation OliveTheBoy has officially launched early bird tickets for his highly anticipated O’Live Experience concert, set for November 20, 2026, at the National Theatre in Accra.

Tickets are priced at ¢99 during the limited early bird phase and are available through the artist’s official website, iamolivetheboy.com, as well as the Chale app platform. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the show scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Organizers have emphasized that quantities are restricted, urging fans to secure their spots promptly before prices rise or availability ends.

Born Joel Ofori Bonsu on October 19, 2002, in Konongo in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, OliveTheBoy has emerged as one of the country’s most promising voices in contemporary Afrobeats. The singer and songwriter, who attended Opoku Ware Senior High School and has studied at the University of Ghana, first gained widespread attention in 2023 with his debut EP Avana.

Its lead single “Goodsin” became a streaming phenomenon, topping charts as one of the most played Ghanaian tracks of that period and earning him recognition as Apple Music’s Up Next Star.

Signed to Columbia Records through Bu Vision Entertainment, founded by industry executive Bu Thiam, and managed by Loop Music and FulLCircL, OliveTheBoy has steadily expanded his reach. His sound blends traditional Ghanaian rhythms with modern pop, R&B, and alternative influences, creating a distinctive style that has resonated both locally and internationally.

Follow-up releases, including tracks such as “Je,” “Screaming Beauty,” “Gymnastic,” “Stopit,” and collaborations with artists like Medikal and DJ Boat, have further solidified his position in the competitive Afrobeats landscape.

The O’Live Experience name carries history for the artist. In August 2023, he staged an earlier version of the event at Level Bar & Lounge in Osu, Accra. That showcase, which featured performances of tracks from Avana and a special appearance by fellow Bu Vision artist Qing Madi, also included a memorable moment when OliveTheBoy brought his mother on stage to dance to “Goodsin.”

The intimate gathering introduced him more formally under the Bu Vision banner and drew industry figures, media, and early supporters. The 2026 edition represents a clear elevation, moving to the prestigious National Theatre, a landmark venue known for major cultural and entertainment events in Ghana’s capital.

Fans have already begun expressing excitement online following the ticket announcement. Comments on the artist’s post highlighted anticipation for the night, with some noting technical issues on the sales site in the initial hours,a common occurrence with high-demand drops.

OliveTheBoy himself shared a warm message accompanying the launch: “EARLY BIRD TICKETS for the O’live Experience are now LIVE! (limited tickets only) visit https://www.olivetheboy.com to purchase yours, or simply click the link in my bio. I LOVE YOU.” The accompanying promotional image features the event branding against a dramatic stadium-like backdrop, reinforcing the scale of the planned production.

The National Theatre booking signals growing confidence in OliveTheBoy’s drawing power. At 23 years old at the time of the announcement, he joins a wave of young Ghanaian talents pushing Afrobeats further onto global stages.

He has already performed internationally, including notable appearances in the United Kingdom such as at Indigo at The O2, where he described the experience of hearing overseas audiences sing his lyrics as “amazing.”

Additional dates in places like Norway and Canada have appeared on tour listings in recent years, reflecting expanding demand beyond West Africa.

Public Reaction

Industry observers see the O’Live Experience as more than a standard concert. It offers an opportunity for the artist to present a curated evening of his catalog alongside potential new material, live band arrangements, and the high-production values expected at a venue of the National Theatre’s stature.

Partners including Chale are supporting the ticket sales and logistics, helping streamline access for Ghanaian fans.

OliveTheBoy’s career has been defined by consistent output and organic growth rather than overnight hype alone. From the streets of Konongo-home to other notable artists such as Black Sherif to major label backing and international stages, his path illustrates the evolving infrastructure supporting Ghanaian music.

Streaming numbers for early hits like “Goodsin,” which rapidly accumulated tens of millions of plays, demonstrated the commercial potential of his melodic, emotionally direct style.

As the early bird window opens, the focus remains on accessibility for core supporters. At ¢99, the price point aims to reward fans who act quickly while generating momentum ahead of general sales.

Organizers have not yet released details on additional ticket tiers, guest artists, or the full setlist, but the promotional materials position the night as a complete “experience” rather than a conventional show.

The timing of the announcement, more than two months before the November date, gives ample opportunity for promotion and buildup. In Ghana’s vibrant live music scene, where festivals and one-off concerts compete for attention, securing the National Theatre for a solo outing is a statement of ambition.

For OliveTheBoy, it continues a narrative of steady progression that began with bedroom recordings and high school ambitions and has now reached one of Accra’s premier performance spaces.

Supporters are encouraged to visit the official channels for the most up-to-date information on ticket availability and any further announcements.

With limited early bird stock, demand is expected to be strong among the artist’s dedicated following, many of whom have followed his journey since the breakthrough success of “Goodsin.”
