Eshishi

Ghanaian artiste and producer Quamina MP has announced a new collaboration with fellow rapper Kofi Mole. The track, titled “Eshishi” (stylized as ESHISHII on the cover art), is scheduled for release this Friday. Quamina MP revealed the news on X (formerly Twitter) early Tuesday morning, tagging Kofi Mole and noting that he produced the song himself.

In the post, which quickly drew engagement from fans, Quamina MP wrote: “ESHISHI with Mario Bawua Balotelli @kofi_mole this Friday. Produced by Me.” The “Mario Bawua Balotelli” reference is a playful nod to Kofi Mole’s recent solo track “Balotelli” from his four-track EP 4DA POPPIN, released earlier this year.

That song draws inspiration from Italian-Ghanaian footballer Mario Balotelli (born Mario Barwuah), whose Ghanaian heritage and larger-than-life persona have long resonated in Ghanaian popular culture.

The announcement forms part of Quamina MP’s self-declared “NEW MUSIC WEEK.” He had posted the phrase the previous evening alongside promotional imagery, building anticipation among his sizable following.

The “Eshishi” cover art features bold, glossy red-and-orange lettering with a fiery chili pepper character wearing a Santa hat, set against a dark, festive background and marked with a Parental Advisory sticker. The spicy visual theme aligns with the energetic, club-oriented sound both artists are known for.

About Quamina MP

Quamina MP, born Emmanuel Kwamina Amonoo on September 11, 1993, in the Central Region of Ghana and raised in Mankessim with roots in Takoradi, first broke through in 2017–2018. After dropping out of university due to financial constraints, he connected with the Ground Up Chale platform and scored a major hit with “Wiase Y3d3” alongside Kwesi Arthur and Yung C.

He has since built a reputation as both a performer and producer, delivering party anthems and melodic hip-hop/Afrobeats records. His 2025 debut album Love In The Club (and its deluxe edition) showcased his range, blending love songs with club-ready tracks, several of which he produced himself. Throughout 2026 he has remained active with singles including collaborations and solo releases such as “Sunshine” with Fameye.

About Kofi Mole

Kofi Mole, whose real name is Edward Kofi Agyemang Amoah, hails from Kumasi. He rose to prominence in the late 2010s, winning the Next Rated Act award at the 2019 3Music Awards. Known for sharp lyricism and street-smart storytelling, he has collaborated widely and maintains an independent streak through his N.G.A label.

His September 2026 EP 4DA POPPIN featured collaborations with Kuami Eugene, S3fa and Quamina MP on the track “Wayedew,” continuing a pattern of joint work between the two. Earlier in 2026 the pair also appeared together on Quamina MP’s “Call It Whatever” project, which included the track “32 Shots.”

Their repeated collaborations reflect a natural chemistry within Ghana’s competitive hip-hop and Afrobeats scene. Both artists favour high-energy deliveries suited to clubs and festivals, and Quamina MP’s dual role as producer gives him direct control over the sonic direction of “Eshishi.”

Public Reaction

Fans following the “New Music Week” posts have responded enthusiastically in replies, with comments such as “Heat o,” “We feast producer Mp,” and “We Active,” signalling strong anticipation for another dancefloor-oriented record.

The timing coincides with a busy period for Ghanaian music releases and builds on Quamina MP’s earlier teases of new material, including mentions of an upcoming EP. While no official preview audio, full tracklist details or streaming platform links have been shared yet, the combination of self-production, a proven collaborator and eye-catching artwork has generated early buzz.

“Eshishi” arrives at a moment when both artists continue to expand their catalogues after successful projects earlier in the year.

Quamina MP has performed at major events including Afrochella, Detty Rave, Bhim Concert and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, establishing himself as a live draw. Kofi Mole similarly maintains a strong presence through consistent output and features.

Their joint track is expected to lean into the party and street energy that has defined much of their individual and collaborative work.

As Friday approaches, supporters of Ghanaian music will be watching streaming platforms for the official drop. “Eshishi” marks another chapter in the ongoing partnership between Quamina MP and Kofi Mole, two artists who have repeatedly shown they can deliver records that connect with local audiences while fitting into the broader Afrobeats and hip-hop conversation.

With Quamina MP handling production and both bringing their established styles, the single is positioned as a potential highlight of the current release cycle.

Further details on the song’s exact theme, additional features or accompanying visuals may emerge closer to the release date. For now, the announcement has successfully framed the week as one focused on new music from one of Ghana’s active producer-artistes and a reliable collaborator. Fans can expect “Eshishi” to surface on major platforms this Friday as the latest addition to both catalogues.
