Real Madrid Denies Having Interest In Signing Kylian Mbappe

SPORT PREVIEW Mbappe Real 1

Real Madrid, the Spanish giant, has moved to deny speculations that it has renewed interest in signing the Parisian maestro, Kylian Mbappe.

The recent performances of Real very own Vinicius Junior might be the reason for Los Blancos cooling their interest in Kylian Mbappe whom they pursued last year.

The Brazilian has been in scintillating form over the past two years, and his surge to the top of world football has meant Madrid’s interest in Mbappe has cooled significantly.

Vinicius has been one of the best players in world football this season, and as such, he will continue being first choice on the left wing, and will likely do so even if Mbappe does arrive at some point in the future.

According to Marca, not only are Madrid not willing to part with any money for Mbappe’s services, the form of Vinicius means the hierarchy believe it would be fruitless to acquire the Frenchman.

It is no secret that Mbappe’s wish is to play for Real Madrid with the Frenchman coming very close to signing for Los Blancos on two different occasions and the closest was last year, before renewing his deal with PSG.

There is reportedly a clause in Mbappe’s PSG contract that would allow the 24-year-old to terminate his deal in the summer of 2024, which could change Madrid’s stance on the transfer.

Madrid to Sign Jude Bellingham

In the meantime, Real Madrid will pour their resources into a move for Jude Bellingham, while a new right back and striker may also be signing during this summer’s transfer window and they could be forced to rein in their future spending.

The gamble of the current Ligue 1 champions is to develop a project around a Mbappe who has become captain, in order to achieve a renewal beyond 2024.

Mystery, incidentally, which remains unresolved despite the photo last May at the Parc des Princes with the new contract just signed.

Without Lionel Messi, everything will be easier because of the absolute starring role that the former Monaco player is looking for.

Meanwhile for now, Real Madrid has a crucial game to prepare for than worry their heads with unrealistic rumors. They have a season deciding Champions League second leg with Manchester City.

The first leg was more edge-of-the-seat thriller than the all-out-action of last season’s semi-final, when Madrid staged a remarkable second-leg comeback at the Santiago Bernabéu to beat Pep Guardiola’s men 6-5 on aggregate. Crucially, perhaps, this time the second leg takes place at the City of Manchester Stadium, where the home side are on a 14-match unbeaten run with a combined score of 49 goals scored and only 7 goals conceded.

By contrast, Madrid have only twice progressed on the nine previous occasions they failed to win the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie at home.

Ominously for City, both were in Manchester, against United in 2000 and 2013. Karim Benzema was an unused substitute in 2013, and while he and Erling Haaland were uncharacteristically subdued in Madrid, the attacking talent in both sides could be unleashed this time.
