I Always Motivate Myself To Succeed – Chef Faila

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak

Failatu Abdul-Razak popularly known as Chef Faila has attributed her success to her drive and determination.

According to her, she has always been a determined lady and wanted to do something great for her community and the nation.

“Priority was to put the Ghana and North region on the map. So I was focused on my talent and skills while educating myself. I have motivation myself and other women in other places have been my motivation too,” she noted.

Chef Faila stated that the large crowd of people coming in to support her gave her the courage to finish what she started.

She further added that it became a priority to feed the people who showed up to support her.

“I felt that it wasn’t just to please Guinness. I needed to provide food for the wonderful people who were there to support me. It was a priority for me,” she revealed.

Moreover, Chef Faila also wanted to use the Cook-a-thon as an opportunity to give back to those in need.

As part of her involvement in the event, she made a point of feeding vulnerable members of her community.

“My first meal coming out of cook-a-thon and other subsequent meals, I’m going to share it with the guests at the venue and these orphans and street beggars and that’s exactly what we did. We could have 100 packs of food leaving our cook-a-thon kitchen and they were all going to charity,” she stated.

It can be recalled that Chef Faila visited the Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale to share her goodwill with the workers and mainly the orphans at the orphanage home.

The Guinness World Record contender is known to have a soft spot for people who are not as privileged as she is, evidently, she’s in the past supported and still supports the less privileged in her society.

Chef Faila alongside some members of her team visited the orphanage home to show them love and support.

They went along with numerous gifts including food items, toiletries, a cheque for an undisclosed amount of money, and more.

According to sources, Chef Faila has always had children all over her in society for her friendliness towards them.

She’s always promised them that her successes will surely be theirs too.

Also, as Ghanaians are eager for the Guinness World Records to make a pronouncement on its decision regarding Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s cooking marathon world record attempt, a new update has sprouted out on it.

A netizen with the username, @IbrahimAbubakar0407 asked for an update from the Guinness World Record on the record attempt by Chef Faila and he got a response.

“Thank you, GWR. And again Faila the cook-a-thon in Ghana please is she the current record holder?” he wrote.

In response, Guinness World Records disclosed that it had received evidence of the cook-a-thon attempt and was still reviewing it.

“That’s going to take a little longer to review,” the Guinness World Record replied.

Chef Faila made the country proud when she cooked for a stunning 227 hours to unofficially break any official and unofficial records ahead of her.
