Nollywood veteran, Pete Edochie has joined in mourning the untimely passing of their colleague, Junior Pope.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the seasoned actor urged Nigerians to refrain from posting meaningless things on social media about the late actor’s death, allowing him to rest in peace.
Edochie emphasized the unexpected and unfortunate nature of Junior Pope’s demise, describing him as a precious gift to humanity.
He called for prayers for the acceptance of the actor’s soul by God and urged people to avoid the social media drama surrounding his death.
Acknowledging the responsibility taken on by well-known businessman E-Money to care for Junior Pope’s children, Edochie expressed gratitude.
He described Junior Pope as a gift not only to Nigerians but to the world, lamenting the sudden loss and emphasizing the need for respectful mourning.
Edochie’s heartfelt appeal resonated as he urged everyone to let Junior Pope’s soul find peace, appealing to the collective conscience to honor the departed with dignity.
Rita Edochie also reacted after Yul Edochie shocked netizens with his revelation.
Reacting, Rita Edochie made a post on Instagram where she prayed for the late actor’s soul to rest in peace despite the brouhahas from detractors.
“Some things are better left unsaid, it is well. May the soul of my great son Junior Pope start resting, because it is glaring he hasn’t been allowed to rest since April the 10th till now. Too saddening, there is no defense and self-vindication in the grave the heart of man is like a stone, and death is not even enough to soften to mana ya di ba rest on Junior Pope nwa m. Rita Edochie.

She stated that she pleads on his [Junior Pope’s] soul to forgive whoever is against him and has vowed not to let him rest in peace.
“I really do not understand what is going on. Any truthful person who has ever had Junior Pope my great son in close contact can attest to the fact that he has a very open and wonderful heart.
“His image was never dented in his lifetime, and never will his image be dented now that he has gone to be with the creator. Start resting now my great son. It is well😭😭😭😭😭😭.”

Yul Edochie Forgives Late Junior Pope Amid Backlash
Nigerian filmmaker cum movie actor, Yul Edochie finally forgave his late colleague, Junior Pope.
Yul opened up on why he didn’t mourn Junior Pope, revealing that he took the deceased as a brother and good friend and was there for him when he needed him, unfortunately, the late actor backstabbed him repeatedly.
The actor-turned-minister garnered a lot of backlash from netizens who bashed him for speaking ill of the dead.
Taking to his Instagram page in a fresh post, Yul Edochie stated that he has completely forgiven the late actor.
“Speaking about forgiveness, I forgive him completely. It hurts deeply when a friend you love, took like a brother, stood for and shown love over the years turns around to stab you in the back repeatedly without remorse.
“Sadly that’s the world we live in. Humans are filled with flaws. To err is human, but to forgive is divine.I forgive him & wish his family the very best.”
