Richard Ahiagba, National Communications Director- NPP

The NPP’s National Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his outstanding achievements and commitment to revolutionizing the healthcare sector.

According to Ahiagbah, President Akufo-Addo’s achievements in health and healthcare delivery surpass those of all his predecessors since President John Agyekum Kufuor introduced the National Health Insurance Scheme in 2003.

“During his address at the Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali, President Akufo-Addo underscored the essential link between a nation’s wealth and the health of its people. He states that “a healthy population is not just a moral imperative; it is an economic necessity.”

Richard Ahiagbah

Ahiagbah also noted that President Akufo-Addo’s approach aligns with the World Health Organization’s One-Health Framework.

This framework, he noted, emphasizes a holistic and integrated strategy, mirroring the President’s commitment to the Health-In-All Approach, which prioritizes healthcare as a vital component of overall development.

The NPP Communicator pointed out that the One-Health Framework and Health-In-All Approach are embodied in the 2020 Revised National Health Policy.

He stated that this policy, being diligently implemented by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Administration, aims to enhance the health and well-being of all Ghanaians through comprehensive and integrated healthcare initiatives.

Ahiagbah asserted that the effects of President Akufo-Addo’s strategic investments in the health sector are self-evident and far-reaching, yielding tangible improvements in healthcare delivery and outcomes.

He highlighted that, notably, the Akufo-Addo administration has successfully completed seven hospital projects that were initiated by the previous NDC government, bringing them to fruition and enhancing the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.

The NPP stalwart further emphasized that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has effectively completed the nine Euroget hospitals initiated by former President Kufuor.

He pointed out that the Euroget hospitals were stalled and left abandoned during the NDC-Mahama Administration’s tenure.

According to Ahiagbah, the Akufo-Addo administration has successfully launched and finished 37 projects, among them the significant Phase II expansion of the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC).

NPP Government Delivers: 14 Hospital Projects Underway

Richard Ahiagbah revealed that the current NPP administration has fourteen ongoing hospital projects, including the 750-bed Maternity and Children’s Block at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and the 100-bed Obusia Trauma facility.

Additionally, Ahiagbah stated that the administration is making progress on the new Western Regional Hospital and the landmark Agenda 111 hospitals, which will significantly enhance Ghana’s healthcare infrastructure.

As such, he emphasized that Ghanaians must elect a leader on December 7th who will not only preserve but also build upon the existing healthcare investments, thereby elevating the health and well-being of the nation to new heights.

“The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) does not have a comparable record in the health sector nor offers a candidate with the vision and capability to make these urgent investments in health and healthcare delivery”.

Richard Ahiagbah

Ahiagbah made a heartfelt appeal to the middle-class, independent, undecided youth, and all objective voters to rally behind Dr. Bawumia, who has unequivocally pledged to continue and expand health sector investments in the NPP’s 2024 Manifesto.

The NPP Communicator indicated that by supporting Dr. Bawumia, Ghanaians can help ensure the sustained growth and improvement of Ghana’s healthcare system, building on the progress already made.

He aptly reminded the public that “Health is wealth,” emphasizing the vital importance of prioritizing healthcare as a cornerstone of a prosperous and thriving society.

“A vote for Dr. Bawumia is a vote for your health. Vote for Dr. Bawumia for a healthier Ghana”. – Richard Ahiagbah

He affirmed that Dr. Bawumia is a leader who means business, and urged Ghanaians to entrust him with their votes, confident that he will deliver tangible results and make a positive impact on the nation.

The NPP stalwart confidently endorsed the party’s flagbearer, asserting that Dr. Bawumia is the outstanding choice for Ghana’s future, possessing the vision, leadership acumen, and commitment to drive transformative progress and prosperity.
