Media personality, MC Portfolio has taken a moment to publicly appreciate broadcaster Nana Kwame Jantuah’s significant role in his life and career.
Both men appeared as guests on a show, engaging in discussions about politics and entertainment. However, before the cameras rolled, MC Portfolio had a different agenda.
He confided in the host that he wanted to use the platform to acknowledge Jantuah’s influence, explaining that his senior colleague had done more than just offer advice—he had personally supported him in ways that changed his life.
When the conversation on air turned to their personal experiences in the industry, the host seized the opportunity to relay Portfolio’s message of gratitude. But before she could say much, MC Portfolio cut in, eager to speak for himself.
“Boss, I wouldn’t be here without you,” he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
“You didn’t just give me advice; you took real action. You paid my school fees when things were tough, guided me in this industry, and I have been able to sustain myself because of you.”

Jantuah, momentarily taken aback by the public recognition, smiled and nodded.
His expression showed both humility and pride as he listened to Portfolio’s words. “Sometimes, you don’t realize the full impact of what you do for people,” Jantuah responded.
“I saw potential in you and did what I could. But hearing this today, I’m proud of the man you’ve become.”

MC Portfolio also spoke out about his ongoing rift with media personality Abro, also known as Peter Ekpe Mawuli, shedding light on the tension between them.
Addressing the friction between them, MC Portfolio revealed that Abro has persistently sought his help in arranging a meeting with Jantuah, a request he has been reluctant to fulfill.
“Abro keeps reaching out, asking me to link him up with Jantuah, but I hesitate. It’s hard to ignore how he’s been throwing jabs at me lately, just because of where my loyalty lies.”

The tension between the two stems from their differing allegiances in the long-standing rivalry between dancehall heavyweights Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
While Portfolio acknowledges that some of Abro’s remarks may be playful, he believes the jabs have crossed a line. “I get it, sometimes it’s just entertainment,” he said.
“But when it gets excessive, when it turns into outright attacks, that’s where I draw the line.”

Despite the friction, MC Portfolio made it clear that he had no intention of escalating the situation.
However, he remains firm in his decision to keep his distance. “I can’t take it personally to the point of trading insults, especially bringing family into it,” he asserted.

The Media personality responded to Bullgod’s claim that music videos are no longer relevant.
MC Portfolio shared his concerns regarding the importance of music videos in contemporary artistry.
“Not having a music video is not a professional work,” he said while refuting BullGod’s assertion.
He highlighted that in a competitive market, the absence of visually engaging content can hinder an artiste’s image, suggesting that it does not effectively position them as serious creatives in the eyes of potential investors.
“It doesn’t really give you that kind of reverence that we have to put on your brands.”

Prior to that, artiste manager and music expert Bullgod advised musicians not to waste money on music videos, as they are no longer commercially viable and people are not consuming video content like they used to.
Bullgod emphasized the diminishing relevance of video content, indicating that “people don’t even consume it no more”.
Portfolio’s remarks highlight the increasingly visual nature of the music industry, where a strong video presence bolsters an artiste’s brand and outreach.
