Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur D-Black has officially opened pre-ticket sales for the fifth edition of Tropical Fiesta, a three-day, two-night destination festival scheduled for January 2 to 4, 2027, at Treasure Island in Ada.

The event, promoted as the biggest destination festival of the Detty December season and its immediate aftermath, is being hosted by D-Black, who styles himself as “The Enjoyment Minister.” Organisers describe it as an escape that extends the festive energy of December into the new year, offering attendees a complete island experience away from the usual city crowds.

Pre-tickets are available now through the official website tropicalfiestafestival.com or by dialling 71333*23#. Promotional materials emphasise the theme “3 Days & 2 Nights Away From It All,” positioning the festival as a full immersion in beachside leisure combined with live entertainment.

According to announcements from D-Black and the Tropical Fiesta team, the programme will feature a wide range of musical styles including Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, Highlife and R&B. In addition to concerts and DJ sets, planned activities include beach parties, luxury brunches, jet ski and speed boat rides, private chef experiences, nightlife events, treasure hunts and padel tournaments.

The organisers are inviting fans to suggest five artists they would like to see perform, signalling that the final lineup is still being shaped with public input.

Treasure Island in Ada has become a recognised venue for destination events in Ghana, offering a coastal setting that contrasts with the high-density party calendar of Accra during peak Detty December. By placing Tropical Fiesta 5 in early January, the organisers aim to capture both local partygoers seeking an extended festive period and diaspora visitors who remain in the country after the main December rush.

D-Black, a well-known figure in Ghana’s music and entertainment industry, has built a brand around high-energy enjoyment and lifestyle events. His involvement as host is central to the festival’s marketing, with promotional posts highlighting his role alongside “20 of my dopest artist & DJ friends.” Earlier posts from the Tropical Fiesta account describe the event as “the final escape” and encourage attendees to “become an Island Citizen.”

The fifth edition builds on previous Tropical Fiesta gatherings that have established the brand as a recurring feature on Ghana’s festive calendar. Organisers are using vibrant visual campaigns featuring beach and poolside imagery to convey a sense of luxury, relaxation and continuous entertainment.

Ticket categories referenced in related promotions include regular Island Passes and higher-tier options, though exact pricing details are directed to the official sales channels.

About Detty December

Detty December has grown into a major cultural and economic period in Ghana and across West Africa, drawing significant numbers of diaspora visitors and generating substantial activity in hospitality, entertainment and tourism. Events that extend into early January help sustain that momentum and offer an alternative for those who prefer a more destination-oriented experience away from the capital.

As pre-ticket sales continue, the organisers are expected to release further updates on the artist lineup, accommodation packages and additional activities. D-Black’s call for fan suggestions on performers indicates an interactive approach to building the bill, a strategy that has become common in Ghanaian festival promotion.

About Tropical Fiesta 5

Tropical Fiesta 5 is being presented as both a music festival and a complete lifestyle getaway. Attendees will spend three days and two nights on the island, with the promise of continuous programming that mixes live performances, water sports, social activities and curated dining experiences.

With the event still several months away, the early launch of ticket sales is intended to allow interested participants to plan travel and accommodation in advance. The combination of a coastal location, multi-day format and the involvement of a prominent entertainment figure positions Tropical Fiesta 5 as one of the notable destinations on Ghana’s extended festive calendar for the 2026-2027 season.

Those interested in attending are directed to the official website or the USSD code for ticket information. Further announcements regarding confirmed performers and detailed schedules are anticipated in the coming weeks as the festival builds toward its January dates at Treasure Island, Ada.
