Ghanaian artist, King Jerry, has publicly expressed his disappointment over being snubbed from what many are calling the biggest event of 2025—Richard Nii-Armah Quaye’s lavish birthday celebration in Accra.

The extravagant event, which has dominated headlines and social media discussions, saw a host of A-list celebrities from Ghana and Nigeria, including Diamond Platnumz, Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, and event host Joselyn Dumas.

Reports indicate that these stars received substantial payments simply for their attendance.

In a video making rounds online, King Jerry did not hold back his frustration.

“Nii Armah Quaye, why? Why was I not invited?” he questioned, visibly displeased. He expressed shock over being left out, emphasizing his personal connection with the Ghanaian billionaire.

“I have a whole collection of songs ready to entertain any audience. This was the perfect opportunity, yet I was overlooked.”

While the reason for his exclusion remains unknown, his remarks have sparked a debate about the criteria used to select performers and attendees for the high-profile event.

Moreover, a long-time customer of Bills Credit (formerly Bills Microcredit) voiced her disappointment at the company’s Founder and Board Chairman, for prioritizing celebrities over loyal clients during his extravagant 40th birthday celebration.

The unnamed customer took to social media to air her frustrations, questioning why Richard Nii-Armah Quaye, whose financial institution has served thousands of everyday Ghanaians – chose to fill his guest list with entertainment industry personalities rather than acknowledging customers who have supported the company from its early beginnings.

“We, your customers, are grateful. Those of us who borrow from you and from whom you make your profit – we are grateful. But it’s sad that we are not considered worthy to be at your party. You only invited rich people to come eat.”

With its dazzling display of wealth, fashion, and fame, the event drew hundreds of high-profile guests. From viral videos to trending photos, the celebration has captivated public attention and sparked numerous conversations about wealth, loyalty, and societal values.

One of the major highlights of the night was the bold fashion choices, especially from female guests who turned up in daring and provocative outfits. From plunging necklines to high slits and curve-hugging ensembles, the red carpet was ablaze with glamour.

Many attendees appeared “dressed to kill,” with styles that sparked both admiration and controversy online. While some netizens praised the confidence and flair on display, others criticized the overly revealing outfits.

The #RNAQ40 party attracted dignitaries and celebrities from various backgrounds, showcasing an impressive display of luxury and elegance.

However, the extravagant nature of the celebration sparked debates online, with many questioning the necessity of spending so much on a birthday party.

Social media users have voiced mixed reactions, expressing their views on the appropriateness of such a grand display of wealth. While some criticized the expenses, others defended Richard Nii-Armah Quaye’s right to celebrate his milestone as he pleased.

The conversation has since dominated online discussions, with opinions divided on whether the party was excessive or justified.

Media personality, Delay also weighed in on the matter, questioning why people feel entitled to dictate how others spend their hard-earned money.

In a post on X, she wrote, “Why do some people think it’s ok to show others how to spend their hard earned money?” Her statement sparked further debate, with users sharing differing perspectives on the issue.
