Real Madrid CF have announced that the club is set to formally begin disciplinary action against midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni following an incident during training on Thursday.
Reports indicate that the two players were involved in a fight during the team’s morning training session at Ciudad Real Madrid Florentino Pérez, Real Madrid’s training base but popularly known as Valdebebas as preparations intensify ahead of this weekend’s crucial league encounter.
The fight was too brutal that Valverde was taken to the hospital as it required to be stitched up.
In an official statement released by the club, Madrid confirmed that internal disciplinary action has been initiated as they seek to fully understand the matter and determine whether punishments will be necessary.
“Real Madrid C. F. announces that, following the incidents that occurred this morning during the first team’s training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouameni.”

The Spanish giants declined to provide further details regarding what exactly transpired during the session, insisting that the matter will be handled internally before any conclusions are reached.
“The club will provide updates on the resolutions of both proceedings once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.”

The development comes at a tense moment in Madrid’s season, with pressure mounting after a difficult domestic campaign that now appears destined to end without a title.
Interim head coach Alvaro Arbeloa is already dealing with increasing scrutiny surrounding the club’s recent performances, and the reported altercation between two key members of the squad only adds to the growing tension inside the dressing room.
Valverde and Tchouaméni have both been central figures for Los Blancos throughout the campaign. The Uruguayan has once again showcased his energy, versatility and leadership in midfield, while the French international has remained an important presence in both defensive and central midfield roles.

The Catalan giants could officially be crowned La Liga champions if they avoid defeat against Madrid. A draw would be enough for Hansi Flick’s side to secure the title with games still remaining.
Madrid’s motivation, however, will be centred on preventing their fiercest rivals from celebrating the championship this weekend. To do that, Los Blancos must leave Barcelona with all three points.
Recent results have heavily favoured Barcelona, who currently hold a commanding 11-point lead at the top of the table with only four league matches left to play. Any slip-up from Hansi Flick’s men at this stage would likely only delay celebrations rather than derail them entirely, with Barcelona appearing firmly on course to defend the title they won last season.
For Madrid to have any realistic chance of rescuing the league crown, Barcelona would need to lose all four of their remaining matches while Los Blancos would have to win every game left on their schedule. That scenario appears highly unlikely given Barcelona’s consistency throughout the campaign and Madrid’s recent struggles.
Still, El Clásico remains a fixture driven as much by pride and rivalry as by trophies and standings. Regardless of the league situation, Madrid will be desperate to make a statement against their eternal rivals and restore some pride to an increasingly frustrating season.
Barcelona, meanwhile, stand on the verge of another historic moment as they close in on what would be their 29th Spanish league title.
