Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler has set his sights on securing maximum points when the Porcupine Warriors welcome Aduana FC to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday in Matchday 4 of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko enter the encounter looking to claim their second victory of the campaign and strengthen their position in the early stages of the league season.
The Kumasi giants have collected five points from their opening three matches, recording one victory and two draws.
They will now be hoping to turn their home advantage into another three-point haul against the Ogya Boys.
Aduana, meanwhile, arrive in Kumasi with renewed confidence after securing their first victory of the season last weekend. The result was also Samuel Boadu’s first win since taking charge of the Dormaa-based club.
The Ogya Boys will be keen to build on that success as they attempt to produce another positive result away from home and continue their climb up the league table.
Tinkler, however, is focused firmly on what his own team must deliver rather than worrying about Aduana’s form or results.
“As I said before, our objective is to compete this season in the league. We want to see ourselves at the top of the table, possibly getting three points against them. And that’s got to be the target, that’s the objective. And like I said, I don’t worry about others, I worry about us and the performance that we put on.”

Kotoko Hold Strong Home Record
History gives Kotoko an encouraging record in this fixture, particularly when Aduana make the trip to Kumasi.
The Ogya Boys have managed just one victory in their last six visits to Kotoko, with that success coming in 2021.
Aduana have lost three of their last four trips to the Baba Yara Stadium, while the other two meetings during the six-game period ended in draws.
However, Aduana can draw confidence from their most recent visit to the venue. They secured a 1-1 draw against Kotoko last season and will be hoping to replicate or better that performance on Sunday.
For Kotoko, the objective will be to avoid another dropped opportunity at home and maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors have shown resilience in their opening three matches, but Tinkler will want his side to convert more of that into victories as the season progresses.
Boadu Eyes Strong Home Performance
Richard Boadu is also relishing the opportunity to face Aduana as Kotoko continue their early-season campaign.
The midfielder returned to the club for a second spell at the beginning of the season and has featured in all three league matches so far, underlining his importance to Tinkler’s plans.
Boadu believes Kotoko possess the quality required to compete strongly for honours this season and has also expressed his renewed commitment following his return to the club.

His words reflect the confidence within the Kotoko camp as they prepare for another demanding league fixture.
The Porcupine Warriors will be aiming to make their home advantage count once again and secure their second win of the season, while Aduana will be determined to carry the momentum from their victory over Karela United into Sunday’s encounter.
Aduana FC are also bidding their first away win of the season and will hope it’ll come against 24-time Ghana Premier League champions in a statement win.
