The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has dismissed its 2020 Elections flagbearer, David Apasera and its National Chairman, Moses Danibah for misconduct.

The party also announced the General Secretary for the party, Janet Nabla, who was suspended some weeks back has been reinstated.

According to NEC, the meeting held on August 28 to suspend the General Secretary, Janet Nabla was null and void since a quorum was not formed per Article 45(3) of the PNC constitution.

Speaking on the new development, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the party, Sulemana Seidu, made known that the decision follows investigations from a petition that was brought before the executive committee.

“The NEC meeting of 28th august 2021 was not properly constituted [in] pursuant to Article 45 (3) and as such that meeting is null and void and its outcome must be treated by all with the contempt that it deserves.

“The NEC subjected the petition brought before it by the three [general secretary Janet Nabla, Ashanti regional youth organizer Nuhiru Mohammed, communications secretary for the North East region] and uphold all the accusation as truth. Consequently, Mr. David Apasera and Moses Dani Ba are guilty of the accusation in the petition.”
