Ghanaian South African songstress, Adina Thembi, has been signed on to music record label, Lynx Entertainment.

The songstress was unveiled as part of the record label team during the label’s 15th anniversary which was held in Accra. This suggests that she is now record label mates with Kidi and Kuami Eugene.

The news of Adina signing on to Lynx Entertainment doesn’t come as a surprise to many especially as she is good friends with members of the record label, especially the boss of the record label, Richie Mensah.

It is worth mentioning that in 2020, Adina released ‘Araba’, a 10-track album under Lynx Entertainment with 9 tracks produced by Richie Mensah. Also, there were rumors and speculations that Adina joined the record label in 2021, however, it was not confirmed by the record label or Adina till now.

Adina’s Strides in the Music Scene

With over a decade of being in the scenes, the songstress shot to fame after she won GTV’s Stars of The Future Reality show in 2008.  She is a multiple-hits crooner with songs like ‘Why’, ‘Let Me Go’, ‘Killing Me Softly’, and several others.

Adina Thembi won the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year at the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs). She also won Best Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 VGMA and Afropop Song of the Year and Best Female Vocalist at the VGMA in 2017.

Adina admits Journey in Music Career has been Rough

In an earlier interview, Adina disclosed that her journey in her music career was saddled with several twists and turns.  However, she disclosed that persistence, determination, and passion drove her to become a successful musician.

“When you are focused and know what you want, you will surely smile in the future. I believed in myself and I knew what I had; I knew I was going to make it even though the journey has not been smooth. When you have the right management and you keep doing the right kind of music, you will succeed”.

Eulogizing her then manager, Kwame Farkye, Adina noted that he has been the backbone of her career. She recalled instances when a few record labels had some discussions to sign her, but she declined because they did not meet her standard.

“I have been with Kwame Farkye since 2012 and a lot has gone on under his NAM record. The next record label that wants to sign me should convince me enough to leave, which I don’t see happening soon. We have been through tough times and if things are fine today, I cannot just leave but remember the good things he has done for me”.
