The official website of British singer, Adele, has crashed after revealing she will be performing on Friday, July 1, 2022, and Saturday, July 2, 2022 at American Express presents BST Hyde Park.
The concerts will be the superstar’s first UK shows in FIVE years and clearly, fans can’t wait to catch her live. Within minutes of her announcement, concert-goers took to Twitter to lament that her site was totally crashed.
This comes after the superstar released her record-breaking single, ‘Easy On Me’ and the announcement of her new album, ‘30’.
Due for release in November, ’30’ will be Adele’s fourth album and this is her first new music since 2015. Adele announced the news on her Instagram page and simply said: “Oiii Oiiiiiiiiiiiii. Pre-sale at adele.com”.
Excited fans reacted accordingly, with some responding: “Oh My God, getting my ticket soon!” as some others said: “I love you! I can’t wait.”
It can be recalled that on Sunday night, 24th October 2021 Adele performed in front of some of Hollywood’s biggest names, treating them to a private concert in Los Angeles.
She was recording an upcoming special for CBS at the Griffith Observatory titled ‘Adele One Night Only’ and a slew of celebrities showed up in support. According to reports, those in attendance included Drake, Kris Jenner, Ellen DeGeneres, and wife Portia de Rossi, Lizzo, and others.
In October 2021, Adele gave fans a sneak peek at her upcoming album after releasing her newest single, ‘Easy On Me’.
‘Easy On Me’ after its debut on Billboard shot from No. 175 to No. 1 within a few days. The song drew 178.2 million streams and sold 136,300 downloads worldwide in the October 15th-21st, 2021 tracking week.
The song boasts the second-biggest streaming week since the Global 200 began, after BTS’ ‘Butter’ launched with 289.2 million streams on the June 5 chart. ‘Easy On Me’ scores the third-biggest sales frame, following ‘Butter’ and BTS’ ‘Permission to Dance’.
Adele is the third British act to top the Global 200, after Ed Sheeran, whose ‘Bad Habits’ led the July 31 list, and Coldplay, whose ‘My Universe’, featuring BTS, rocketed to No. 1.
On YouTube, within two days of being released, the song outperformed the whole Top Ten list combined and has since been viewed over 62 million times.
Adele wrote following the announcement of her album: “I’ve learned a lot of blistering truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go so far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life. And so, I’m ready to finally put this album out”.
‘The Rolling in the Deep’ singer who has had an unsuccessful marriage is also ready to finally move on from her failed marriage.
Adele’s ex, Simon Konecki, and their nine-year-old son, Angelo, also attended the mini-concert recording. The Brit star split from ex-husband Simon in 2019. Since then, she has gone on to date NBA baller Rich Paul.
