Adjetey Anang Discloses Conversation He Had With Yvonne Nelson Over Sarkodie Controversy

Actor Adjetey Anang

In the midst of the tension that has erupted between Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson alongside the divergent views from a section of the public, Adjetey Anang has reached out to the actress, urging her to be “insensitive” to derogatory comments and remain focused on her school and the quest to give children a better education, the actor has said.

In an interview, Adjetey Anang who is scheduled to launch his book said it was essential Yvonne paid no attention to negative comments as she may be tempted to react in a manner that would not inure her benefits.

“I just encouraged her that as much as possible, she should try to be insensitive to the comments. Some people are saying all sorts of things so paying attention will not help.

“Her focus should be on her kindergarten; that should give her joy. I encouraged her to cut the responses because some time ago, that was what I did and it landed me into trouble”.

Yvonne Nelson released a memoir titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ on June 18, 2023, which elaborated on some life experiences, including her encounter where her mother never told her who her biological father is.

Also, she stated that she got pregnant for Sarkodie and had to abort because Sarkodie was not in support of keeping it.

Responding to the claims of Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie released a song titled ‘Try Me’ explaining that Yvonne should not make it seem he was pushing her to abort the child because the actress rejected the idea of seeing his doctor, instead, she chose a doctor her friend suggested to be the best.

He said that Yvonne should stop claiming to be a good girl, adding that if she wants to talk, she should list all the men she has slept with because he had heard about her sexual exploits.

While some have slammed Sarkodie for acting immature and disrespecting womanhood, others have defended him for telling his side of the story the best way he could.

Adjetey Anang expressed himself that, people should be sensitive in sharing their thoughts.

He said:

“It is very difficult for me that two of the people I admire in a lot of ways are clashing. I can’t condemn anybody; I can’t judge anybody. I just hope that there is healing; that won’t dwell on the negativity people are throwing into this. We’re not in their shoes, we can only comment on what we heard.

“Let us have a human touch; be a bit sensitive to these people so we don’t break them apart”.

Actress, movie producer, and new author, Yvonne Nelson, risks criticism from her family due to certain details contained in her book, ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’.

According to reports, an unnamed member of her mother’s family disclosed that Yvonne’s mother has been negatively impacted by the content of the memoir.

Her mother is variously mentioned in the memoir, from her role in life and especially as a single mother but in critical terms for the fact that she has failed to disclose the true identity of Yvonne’s father.

The unnamed relative said:

“Auntie Maggie, I am very close to her, but for the past few weeks since the release of her book, the family has been disgraced and has triggered several meetings in the family.

“I am very close to Yvonne Nelson’s mother, because of the issues, she has been admitted to hospital for high blood pressure and we fear for what is likely to happen. There are some instances where Yvonne had to be patient”.

The relative added:

“She thinks that she would be disgracing her mother, in the long run, it is the family that is affected. People are running down the family on social media. It has gone as far as becoming something of a curse”.
