Ghanaian socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger has entered the brawl amidst the ongoing controversy involving Shatta Wale and his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, also known as Mama Shatta.
Her comments follow a viral video where Shatta Wale’s mother lamented on social media about feeling abandoned by her son for the past decade and counting
The outcry from Shatta Wale’s mother has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many criticizing the dancehall artist for allegedly neglecting his family responsibilities in favor of a lavish lifestyle.
However, Afia Schwarzenegger has taken a different stance.
In a fiery TikTok live session, Afia Schwarzenegger strongly criticized Shatta Wale’s mother, accusing her of being selfish and greedy, and suggesting that she has not supported her son when he needed her most.
“When Shatta Wale was arrested where was his mother? When Shatta Wale was jailed alongside Medikal two years ago, where was his mother? Madam get out of here. Just get out of here. It’s not just Shatta Wale’s mother, other mothers are doing this to their own children.
“Mothers are putting chains on their children’s necks and dragging them. Why? Why? People come from prominent homes but leave their parents to live with friends because of what their parents take them through, and after breaking the relationship you have with your children, you run to us on social media for what?”

“It is only when she needs something that she knows Shatta but when he needs love, she is nowhere to be found. He is not your banker. Mothers, we are not your bankers!” she fumed.
Afia emphasized that while she maintains a strict relationship with her own mother, it does not justify airing personal grievances on social media.
“Mothers these days lead their children to sin with unnecessary demands. On a normal day, if you see me lambasting my mother, you will be scared. If you see me being strict with my mother and disciplining her, you will be scared. But that doesn’t mean she should set a camera in front of her and drag me all over social media. Leave children to be children.”

However, an aunt of Dancehall King, Shatta Wale has issued a stern warning to Afia Schwarzenegger for raining insults at his mother.
According to Shatta Wale’s Aunt, Afia has no moral right to criticize Shatta Wale’s mother when she has been a terrible mother to her kids.
She added that Afia Schwarzenegger is not as a good friend as she claims to be. Because a good friend would not put a camera before her to insult her friend’s mother.
She further advised Afia to make sure that her children don’t abandon her when she is old and weak.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale responded to critics on Facebook, defending himself against accusations of neglecting his mother and questioning the authenticity of comments made without understanding the full story.
Shatta Wale Throws Subliminal Shots at Mother

Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale threw subliminal shots at his mother after she came out publicly to beg for help to take care of herself because she was sick.
Shatta Wale in his first response told the world that his mother neglected him and it was rather her stepmother who took care of her and therefore holds her step mum in high esteem.
After his comment, netizens took to his comment section to lambast him, stating that no matter what his mother had done to him he doesn’t need to pay her back in that way.
Following the constant chiding on social media, Shatta Wale has come back again and has this time warned netizens not to feel sorry for anyone that comes shedding tears.
In his post, the “Mellisa” hitmaker disclosed that some people are good at lying and playing the victims when indeed they are the ones at fault.
“Be careful who you feel sorry for … Some people are good at lying and playing the victim … GOD IS HERE.”
