Ghanaian dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, has heavily descended on critics, following claims that he has deserted his mother.
Shatta Wale’s rants were necessitated by public attacks over claims that he has blatantly refused to pay heed to his mother’s homeless situation.
Scores of individuals, including popular radio presenter, Michael Ola, after analyzing the situation voiced out various opinions and asked Shatta Wale to do the right thing. However, the Shatta Movement boss, in a Facebook live video, asked his critics to mind their own business instead of interfering in his personal life.
According to Shatta, who is currently enjoying his music tour in the United States, nobody should dare teach him how to handle his mother’s situation or how to love her.
“Sometimes Ghanaians just want to tarnish your image. Ghana is already a foolish country, don’t make it any worse. If anybody fools, he or she will be beaten. I have made it already, think about yourself. Some of you are telling me to go and rent for my mother, settle your family matters before you talk about mine. Don’t even talk (sic) about me, because the moment you do, I won’t forgive you. I’m a gangster, I’m a crazy dude. Think twice before talking about my mother. If you love your mother, just do that. Don’t come and teach me how to love my mother. Stop talking about me and focus on the village you’re living in. It’s not everything I can talk about on social media”.

Shatta Wale’s Mother Evicted
Earlier, the dancehall artist’s mother, Elsie Avemegah, who is also known as Shatta Mama, took to social media to vent out her frustration and claimed that she was evicted from her rented apartment in Legon.
In an interview, Shatta Mama confirmed that she was evicted from the house the dancehall musician rented for her years ago. According to her, all efforts to reach her son have proven futile after she was served notice to pack her belongings and leave the house. She explained that it was Shatta Wale’s former lover, Michy, who took her to the house in Legon and disclosed that she hasn’t seen her son in about five years now.
Shatta Wale’s mother also claimed that she went to Shatta Wale’s house at East Legon but the security personnel denied her access. According to Shatta Mama, her son has caused her shame.
“I didn’t ask Shatta Wale to get me a house in East Legon. I am currently living somewhere in Kasoa with my belongings. This is a son that I watched and took care of right from when he was a child. I am surprised Shatta Wale will be doing this to me”.
Shatta Mama
When she was queried about the car Shatta Wale bought her some years back, she said: “I have the car with me. It is here and if you want to buy it, I can bring it so you give me the money. I have no money to buy fuel and some friends are supporting me financially”.
When news of Shatta Wale’s mother being evicted broke out, it came as a surprise to many because Shatta Wale on several occasions boasted that he is the “richest musician in Ghana”. Meanwhile, others thought Shatta Mama did this just to trend.
However, Shatta Wale’s mother noted that people should disregard such claims because she is not doing it for hype. According to her, she is very hungry and is in dire need of help.
