Ghanaian award-winning Afropop, dancehall, and reggae musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name, Stonebwoy, has been presented with a plaque by the streaming platform, Audiomack, after being the first Ghanaian artist to surpass over 100 million streams on the platform.
The BET award-winning artist officially signed on to Audiomack in 2019, with his 37 songs making him one of the biggest streamed artistes on the continent.
Within a period of 21 months, the critically acclaimed global artist has garnered over 380K total subscribers (the most by a Ghanaian artist) and surpassed 680K monthly listeners.
In 2020, Stonebwoy set a record with his fourth studio album, Anloga Junction, which received the most streams for a Ghanaian album. The album, which featured hit artists from around the globe like Spanker, Kojo Antwi, Nasty C, Keri Hilson, Diamond Platnumz, and Zlatan, became not only the album the most streamed Ghanaian project but also the first Ghanaian album to receive 10 million streams on Audiomack.
The following year, the recording and performing artist became the first Ghanaian musician to reach 100 million streams on the site for his hit single, 1Gad, setting and shattering a record shared by Audiomack in September 2021, and recently in 2022.
The plaque was presented to Stonebwoy by Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Audiomack, Jason Johnson, and Director of Brand and Media partnerships for Audiomack, Charlotte Bwana, at the 2022 Afrochella Festival in Accra, Ghana where he headlined the first day of the two-day festival.
“This is for all of you, this is every single stream that you guys streamed. God bless you! And, I promise you that next year, I am going to drop an Album”.

Stonebwoy made the headlines in 2022
In present-day Ghana and Africa, you can’t list the top five best Dancehall music performers without inking the name Stonebwoy.
Around the world, he is known for his vocal and lyrical prowess.
Arguably, he is the only artiste in Ghana with an elite fan base and debatably, the only dancehall act with a substantial annual outdoor free concert.
From the bellies of the Greater Accra region in Ghana, Ashaiman, the place of birth, this personality has lived a remarkable life and is celebrated by millions of Ghanaians and among dignitaries across borders.
Being under the umbrella of legendary reggae musician Samini, Stonebwoy sparked the love of reggae dancehall music in Ghana even though there had been some past performers.
Stonebwoy after graduating from the Second cycle education joined Samini and then Batman to pursue his music career, even though the duo were good friends, Samini became the master head since he had already garnered some attention in the industry and will have to groom young Stonebwoy under his clout.
Since then, Stonebwoy has never looked back and today, the result of hard work is certainly paying off for the young chap with collaborations with international acts from Africa, the UK, and Jamaica such as Jah Vinci, Trey Songz, Gappy Ranks, Randy Valentine, Sakordie, Wayne Wonder, Laza Morgan, Samini, Obrafour, Black Prophet, R2Bees, Patoranking, General Pype Stylogee, Burna Boy, Morgan Heritage, Chris Martin, I Octane, Kranium, and many others.
With his electrifying and energetic performance, he has attracted a large fan base across the world having staged performances in the UK, USA, Australia, Italy, Amsterdam, and many more countries and sharing the stage with acts such as Lauryn Hill, Alkaline, Busy Signal, Popcaan, Morgan Heritage and Wizkid. Branding plays a very important role within the BMG group, and as a brand, Stonebwoy’s popular catchphrase “BHIM!!!!!” (Bless His Imperial Majesty) has been largely received and accepted, not just within Ghana and Africa, but in Europe too.
2022 had been a great year for a lot of Ghanaian artistes and Stonebwoy had seemed to have a great year so far even though he has not given us a lot of bangers last year. He had headlined some huge events internationally where he represented Ghana very well.
