Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, the first runner-up of the 73rd Miss Universe Competition, expressed her strong belief that respect outweighs the need to be liked in today’s society.

During the finals held at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Adetshina was asked by one of the judges about her perspective on respect and popularity.

In her response, she emphasized the importance of self-respect and how it extends to others. “I feel like being respected is more important than being liked. We live in a society where we often don’t feel respected because of who we are, and I feel like when you respect yourself, you respect others around you and respect is really important,” she said.

first runner-up at the 2024 Miss Universe pageant, is reportedly set to receive an impressive array of prizes following her stellar performance at the global beauty contest held in Mexico.

Following her remarkable performance, reports have begun circulating about the extravagant rewards she is expected to receive.

Although the details remain unconfirmed, sources suggest that the young beauty queen will take home a prize package valued in the millions.

According to these reports, Chidinma will be awarded a $100,000 cash prize, a $3 million diamond-encrusted crown, and a one-year lease on a luxury apartment in New York.

This lavish prize package is being described as a fitting reward for her outstanding achievement at one of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants.

Chidimma Adetshina’s rise to prominence was marked by her eloquence and poise, particularly her compelling responses on diversity and respect for humanity.

The talented model, Chidimma Adetshina, gained significant attention for her stellar performance in the global beauty competition.

However, her journey to the Miss Universe stage has not been without controversy. Earlier this year, she was controversially rejected by Miss South Africa due to questions about her nationality, with allegations that she was not South African.

Despite this setback, Chidimma Adetshina’s recent Miss Universe achievement has earned her praise from Nigerians, many of whom have rallied behind her.
