Davido, the Afrobeats sensation, is currently at the center of one of the hottest celebrity feuds of the year. From Teebillz, down to Tiwa Savage, and most recently, his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu.
He has had a tumultuous relationship with Sophia Momodu, to say the least. She has alleged that he is hardly present for their daughter Imade, and a joy of other things which she has dragged him online for.
Despite the different allegations from Teebillz and a host of others, Davido had mostly maintained his calm, only slipping a little when he liked a demeaning post made against Tacha who had spoken up against him.
Also, Tiwa Savage has not spoken on the issue, but she raised the hopes of fans when she said she had an announcement to make, but it turned out to be a feature film.
Davido’s social media platforms have been hot for a minute, as fans await his response to the situation. However, he has given away nothing, but his most recent post may raise a few eyebrows.
Sharing a picture of his lobster plate, Davido added a caption, which says “Chop life before life chop you”. This is a popular Nigerian saying that encourages people to live life to the fullest, lest the difficulties of life will overshadow their peace.
It is however uncertain if Davido is passing a discrete message to the people involved in the alleged feud, or he’s simply giving himself a morale booster. His silence has only thickened the plot, as fans wonder whether he’s innocent of those allegations or not.
Sophia Momodu Takes Legal Action Against Davido
Davido finds himself in hot water as his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, accuses him of cyberbullying and online harassment.
In a recent development, Momodu’s legal team, PUNUKA Attorneys and Solicitors, sent a scathing cease-and-desist letter to Davido’s legal representatives.
This letter took over Tiwa Savage’s filed police report against Davido and highlighted a string of online attacks, defamatory remarks, and alleged threats orchestrated by Davido and his associates.
The cease-and-desist letter describes troubling incidents of claimed online mistreatment towards Momodu and her inner circle.
It accuses Davido of supporting smear campaigns on social media, organizing coordinated cyberbullying attacks, and making threatening statements towards Momodu’s associates.
According to the letter, such behavior violates Momodu’s constitutional rights and ignores fundamental principles of decency and respect.
In the letter, Momodu’s lawyer stated that after making efforts to contact Davido’s legal representatives to warn the singer, the online attacks persisted.
In a stern rebuke of Davido’s actions, Momodu’s lawyers denounced his behavior as “condemnable” and “grossly lawless.”
They cautioned that Davido will be held accountable for any harm to Momodu, emphasizing the gravity of the alleged threats and the musician’s purported premeditated intentions.
“It is shocking that notwithstanding our earlier email to your good self which was not responded to and the Petition against your client currently being investigated by the Police, your client has continued his disruptive and unlawful conduct. Our client in the last couple of days has been subjected to a series of coordinated attacks and cyberbullying orchestrated by your client and his cohorts.
“We are again by this letter reiterating our position expressed in our earlier email that your client would be held responsible for any harm that may befall our client as such will be a clear manifestation of the threats and premedicated ambitions of your client.”
