Nigerian music sensation, Davido has made headlines by setting a new record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa during his recent event with teenage TikTok star, Peller.
The live stream, hosted by content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, attracted a staggering total of 389,800 viewers, with a peak of 164,000 people watching simultaneously.
This impressive feat surpasses Peller’s previous record, set during a session featuring singer Tiwa Savage, and it showcases Davido’s undeniable influence and popularity among fans across the continent.
Davido’s livestream also generated an overwhelming 377 lion gifts on TikTok, valued at $400 each.
The event featured Peller alongside fellow TikTok stars, Jarvis and Jo Blaq, creating a virtual concert-like experience.
In a heartwarming gesture, Davido announced that all earnings from the gifts would be donated to his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
