An Instagram video has captured the emotional moment in which Davido shed tears of joy while Chioma’s father prayed for them at their traditional wedding.
Social media has been filled with happy moments at the much-anticipated wedding between Davido and Chioma taking place in Lagos State today June 25, 2025.
Whilst there were happy moments, there were also tear-jerking moments as well.
The video showed the couple kneeling before Chioma’s parents at the venue as Chioma’s father prayed for them.
“David and Chioma, on Christ the solid rock you will stand, if you think you have made it, what the Lord would do is almost 10 times what you see. You are blessed in the morning afternoon and night, everywhere you go there will be light. Anywhere you go where there is confusion, your presence will bring direction.
“You are a solution and never a problem, God is blessing you and will continue to bless you. You are a fountain of blessings to the Adeleke’s not disgrace. You have fought battles and God says he has taken over.”

After the prayers concluded and the singer raised his head, his tear-streaked face was not missed and his tears were promptly dabbed away by his groomsman.
Before the blessings were bestowed upon the marriage, Davido had also announced his intentions for their daughter.
An Instagram video captured the heartwarming moment in which Davido prostrated in front of his bride’s parents during his ongoing traditional wedding in Lagos State.
The event host then asked him to beg for their daughter’s hand in marriage, as is tradition.
She said, “Tell us how you are going to take care of her for record purposes, you know you have sung about it and talked about it.”
As the singer lay on the ground, he highlighted his intentions for Chioma as directed, saying, “I have only two words, lifetime assurance.”
His statement caused the crowd to erupt into loud cheers.
“I promise you that your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected. Mummy, Daddy I love you. Everybody knows that I’m happy for this day and this is the happiest day of my life.”

After Davido got on his feet, the crowd erupted in more cheers.
The lavish wedding ceremony ceremony is set to be one of the most talked about events of the year as it has attracted a mix of celebrities, dignitaries, and political figures.

Davido, in a display of majesty, cruised to his wedding in a 2023 Mercedes Maybach, a car known for its luxury and individuality.
The Nigerian superstar is marrying his long-time fiancee, Chioma Rowland.
The wedding, which included affluent Nigerian socialites saw the award-winning singer cruising in one of his most expensive luxury cars.
The iconic car is a collaboration series between Mercedes-Maybach and the late Ghanaian-American designer Virgil Abloh.
Undoubtedly, the 2023 Mercedes Maybach Virgil Abloh S680 is a unique choice for Davido’s big day. The singer took to social media to share the moment he was chauffeured to his traditional amidst top security and cheers from fans and observers.
He captioned the post, “Nigeria is happy.”
Davido also made a shocking revelation about his outfit.
In a video from the event making the rounds on social media, Davido claimed that the wristwatch he wore with his first outfit was expensive.
“Ain’t no fake watch, mehn. $800,000, man,” Davido said while flashing his watch on the camera.
This comes after Davido sparked controversy upon claiming that his wife, Chioma’s engagement ring is worth two to three Rolls Royce.
