Ed Sheeran has recently left a couple stunned after he crashed their wedding ceremony over the weekend.
He gave a surprise to the couple with a live acoustic rendition of his new track, ‘Magical’, as he hugged the bride and groom.
Reportedly, Ed Sheeran was in Las Vegas for his concert but he had to cancel, and he took this opportunity to give his surprising performance at one of the city’s chapels.
It is believed that the new song will appear on Ed Sheeran’s forthcoming album but he played it for the first time at the unnamed couple’s wedding ceremony.
The singer posted a video of the couple’s wedding on his Instagram with the caption, “Crashed a wedding, this is Magical x”. In the clip, the guests could be seen gasping after they spotted Ed Sheeran with a guitar at the venue.
Ed Sheeran sang for the couple, and after finishing his track, he hugged the couple and they thanked him for making their day special. “Is this how it feels to be in love, this is magical”, a part of the song lyrics.
After finishing his track, the Grammy Award winner hugged the couple and they thanked him for making their day special.
“We can still get a picture with him right?” quipped the groom once they had walked down the aisle together.
Ed Sheeran also signed the couple’s official marriage certificate as the witness. “I’m really excited to be your witness”, the singer said.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran tied the knot in 2019 to Cherry Seaborn and together they share two daughters.
Fans demand refund

A host of Ed Sheeran fans are demanding refunds after his show in Las Vegas was rescheduled an hour before it was due to take place over the weekend.
Sheeran, 31, was set to take the stage at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, September 9, but informed fans last minute that plans had changed. “I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load-in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has traveled in for this and I wish I could change it”, he shared in an Instagram statement.
The “Shape of You” singer explained that the scheduled show had been rescheduled for October 28, and that “all purchased tickets will be valid for that date”.
In a subsequent statement shared on Sunday, September 10, Ed Sheeran went into further detail about the decision to cancel the show. “We really tried to do the best we could to make the show happen but I’m not gonna risk the safety of my fans for anything”, he wrote.
“I really am gutted. This was very much out of my control but I do take full responsibility for everyone that was put out from the cancellation. Of course, refunds are available at the point of purchase, and there is a rescheduled show on October 28th if people still want to come, I promise it will be special”.
“Nothing will take away from the effort people went to to get to Vegas though and I’m sorry it wasn’t communicated sooner to the people waiting outside. We really thought the show was going to happen up until the very last moment but it just couldn’t for safety reasons. Sorry again to everyone affected, and hopefully see you in October x”.
