Born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, popularly known in showbiz as Fameye, a Ghanaian rapper has shared some experiences he encountered when he began his career in 2015.
He disclosed that in 2019 when he released a song titled ‘Barman’, he needed the song to be a hit and go worldwide so one of his managers directed him to a pastor whom he believed could help him at that time.
He detailed his encounter saying he was directed to meet the pastor for spiritual directions stating that he did not know how he got to his destination because the route he used had lots of bushes.
He narrated:
“It was one of my managers that introduced him to me. The pastor was at Bebiani and he told me there is a pastor there so I should go and meet him for spiritual directions. I had also released ‘Barman’ and you know if you want a hit song, you would have to go the extra mile for it.
“As I was going, the route I used seemed far, I was like what kind of church is located in such a place and I had walked like 30 minutes. I finally got to the destination and a small boy told me to sit and wait for him there and that Nana will be in soon”.

He said:
“This is a big matter I am sharing with you. After waiting for the arrival of the pastor, the pastor came out and was smoking. It has not been easy for us”.

It can be recalled that Fameye gave a strong warning to musicians to be wary of managers who seek their own popularity at the expense of their welfare.
He spoke about the bitter-turned relationships between artistes and their managers which have become a subject of discussion in recent times.
He said:
“If you are an artist and your manager wants to be a superstar than you, be careful, it’s either you signed the wrong deal or the Devil came in a form of an angel”.

Fameye breaks silence on losing VGMA
Ghanaian rapper, Fameye breaks his silence on losing VGMA, expressing his disappointment.
According to him, winning an award is used for bragging rights, and sometimes fans get bragging rights with their favorite artists.
He revealed:
“Honestly, I was a little bit disappointed even though the awards are just for bragging rights and all. Sometimes, your fans get disappointed, you understand, because they want to have that bragging right and be sitting somewhere and be like ‘Fameye’ was the one who won ‘The Best Songwriter’.
“You know that kind of things, so when you don’t get it like that I think about the fans more because these are the stuffs they can brag with and also I mean on my side too, but it’s not really a major thing for me because the validation, I keep on saying this is from Peter, is from myself, we dey”.

He further said:
“Honestly, I knew that if it happens that I don’t win, maybe Piesie Esther would have taken the award. But I didn’t even know Perez’s song. It was after he won the award I heard the song. And when you play the song, it sounded so nice, so, he deserves it”.
