Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal has recently shed light on his relationship with actress Fella Makafui.
In the candid conversation, Medikal addressed the public’s curiosity about their split, emphasizing that there’s no animosity between them.
“I don’t have a problem with her right there’s no problem or there’s no plot twist to this whole thing going on. Fella is actually very hardworking, smart, and intelligent. She’s a good woman, you get me?”

Dispelling any notions of animosity, Medikal clarified that he is not broken-hearted but he is cool. He acknowledged the mutual understanding between them.

Reflecting on their shared responsibility toward their daughter’s future, Medikal expressed his commitment to ensuring a bright path for their child. He underscored the complexities of love and marriage.
“I want to advise people that I don’t think love is enough before you get married. Love is not enough for two people who want to marry. Marriage is a different thing it’s a different ball game. If you love somebody you don’t be in a hurry to get married to the person.
“You people need counseling, you need families to talk to. Don’t just jump into marriage because you love someone. You might end up making a big mistake. That is my advice to the public.”

Speaking about their daughter, Island, Medikal underscored their mutual commitment to ensuring her bright future.
While both have moved on from their romantic relationship, Medikal hinted at the unpredictability of the future.
“We have a very beautiful child together and then we are going to make sure we have that child has a bright future. Fella has moved on, and I’ve also moved on. I mean, it happened, the way it even ended. That’s not what we wanted, but no one knows tomorrow and no one knows what the future holds. We pray for the best.”

Medikal Reveals His Trigger For Announcing Divorce
Medikal announced that a video of D-Black lighting a cigarette for his baby mama triggered him to announce their separation.
It could be recalled that D-Black while wishing Medikal well on his show at the 02 Arena was insulted by Medikal because he saw the rapper lighting a cigarette for his baby mama.
The content of the video did not sit well with Medikal who insulted D-Black for what he did because he thought it wasn’t right for his colleague to do that with his ex-wife.
Medikal indicated that he had to open up to the world about their breakup because he could not stand people asking him why his woman was smoking a cigarette in a club.
“Anybody who knows me knows that I don’t stretch things. I am a very respectful person. My big brother who is here is a Gee. He knows the Gee code and there are certain things that we don’t do. I am happy my senior man is here. I can’t see my big man’s wife in town and stand somewhere and smoke with her. It’s not nice. I didn’t like that. Maybe he saw it to be cool or maybe because of the relationship he has with the person.
“But the moment I tweeted about that, I felt some type of way at that time and he dropped a song. Now the song he dropped he said it’s an old song which I equally respect but within that time the lyrics or the content of the song is about what is going on. I felt some type of way about it and I’m a human being which is very normal for me to react.”

He further noted that he wished he met him [D-Black] somewhere and talked to him about it, adding that he gets things off his chest and moves on when he is bothered.
“At the time I saw that we were over though. Me seeing that … Because then the world wasn’t aware but me seeing that pushed me to come out and say that we are over. I didn’t want someone to sit down and think that somebody who is my wife is doing that.”

Medikal stated that instead of the media projecting the positive side of celebrities they rather dwell on their private lives.
According to him, the questions media personalities will ask politicians they will not ask the celebrity the same because “they don’t respect musicians.”
“That is why they feel they can ask musicians any question but this is why Ghanaian music is not doing well. Instead of promoting the music business’s positive side, the media always dwells on the negative. That is one of my problems with the Ghanaian media.”
