A video trending on social media shows an altercation between Nollywood actors, Jim Iyke and Uche Maduagwu.
A few days ago, Maduagwu took to social media to call out Iyke on grounds that he lives an expensive lifestyle in Lagos.
Questioning Iyke’s source of wealth, Maduagwu stated that he heard the fellow actor doesn’t buy expensive clothes in Nigeria but has them imported from abroad.
He wrote, mostly in Pidgin English, “Please, nobody should beg me on this matter because I have already made up my mind on this issue. Is Jim Iyke the only one in Nollywood?
“Look at the expensive lifestyle e dey live up and down in Lagos and Abuja. Someone told me e no dey buy expensive clothes from Naija again, he now imports the most expensive ones abroad. Please, what is his source of wealth again?
“Any day we meet or see, I go use my Abuja connection to beg EFCC boss to invite am, we never recover from what Hushpuppi do us, now this one is changing expensive cars up and down like Hushpuppi of the movie industry.
“Even if dem pay me ten million Naira to enter movie location with am if e no tell us his source of wealth I go refuse”.
Uche Maduagwu
The post prompted Iyke to confront Maduagwu to the point that he was held back by people from fully engaging in a fistfight with him as seen in the trending video.
Unhappy Iyke met him and decided to take matters into his own hands. In the video going viral on social media, the actor could be seen stumping Maduagwu whilst questioning him. ” I troll in real life”, he said and asked, “what is he doing here?”
However, Maduagwu kept on challenging Mr. Iyke, saying that EFCC will come after him. The comment left Jim Iyke upset who decided to pounce on him, Maduagwu escaped the attack as people around the held him but he continued to pursue him
During the altercation, Maduagwu could be heard saying, “I will sue you,” after his shirt was dragged by Iyke whom he warned, saying, “EFCC will arrest you.”.
Well, aside playing out his movie lifestyle in real life, Jim Iyke is also well-known for his deadly clap-backs at internet trolls in real life.
It therefore comes as no surprise that he produced a yet-to-be-released movie titled, ‘Bad comment’.
‘Bad Comments’ follows supposed contempt, hatred, and jealousy celebrities go through daily and how just a moment can be used to define and tag their personalities, not excusing their humanity.
In ‘Bad Comments’, which marks his debut production, Iyke plays the role of Frank Orji, a Nollywood actor living the ideal celebrity lifestyle, being the biggest star in the industry. He soon embarks on a revenge-thirsty mission after getting excessively bullied by internet trolls.
The film stars Chiwetalu Agu, Osas Ighodaro, Patience Ozokwo, Sharon Ooja, Ini Edo, Timaya, among other big names in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
